    video card recently fried and i have no clue what to do with it. geek squad says that ill have to replace the entire motherboard to fix it. anyone else have one of these and had problems with it?

    for alot of laptops, the video card does come (esp if it's an integrated one) on the motherboard....so if the card fries...you need a new motherboard.

    Did you purchase through Dell? Geek squad is such a ripoff...charges a ton of money just to diagnose sometimes. That's why it's always good to get at home service, and complete care accidental damage coverage.....protects everything including the screen cracking, if you spill a drink on it, etc.
