    my god....they trade Marcus Camby away for nothing, just to shed his salary and the OPTION of SWAPPING 2nd round draft picks in 2010....

    Clippers got away nicely here after elton brand hustled them

    Just another reason to hate the NBA. Stupid fucking trades like this shouldn't be allowed. Fuck the NBA and especially burn in hell Clay Bennett and David Stern. The NBA died to me last month.

    Salary cap is everthing in the NBA and the Nuggets realize that they're not good enough to contend, so clearing out Camby for the cap exemption will give them room to make a big acquisition next summer. You would have thought that they could have gotten more from the Clips, but all of the leagues are savvy to cap clearance needs, so this was standard value for such a trade... even if 99% of the public thinks the Nuggets got robbed.

    I can understand it from both sides, Denver has to pay Melo and AI huge money, that's a very nice replacement for Brand though. I assume they'll move Kaman to Power Forward. But a lineup of Baron, Gordon, Thornton, Kaman and Camby is solid.
