they dont really investigate murders dexter commits very thoroughly. i remember the jock dude last season. dexter texts him with the chicks phone. like police arent going to snap check his phone records, see he texted her and bring her in.

but yea going to a place with security guards and cameras everywhere to even knock out the dude let alone kill him seemed retarded. again, underwhelming. -
I'm guaranteeing a dexter and deb sex scene, just to make the actors feel awkward.
-
Would they? Is that standard procedure? I don't know, I've never worked in law enforcement. There are generally a couple of gas stations every mile in the city, so how large of a radius around the crime scene would they check?

Great episode. Putting everything on the table is exactly what they needed to do for this season to go down as one of the best ever.

best ep since rita died

Considering that they'll be able to tell gas was the excelerant in the fire and they're thinking the guy was on foot I'd say they'd be checking footage anywhere near, then again this is dexter so that could easily just be glazed over by a useless sub plot slight of hand. Id imagine somehow deb will get tied up in it all, probably because laguerta hates her, she will tie her together with the fire and use that plus her TV appearance to hang her, dex will have some big moral dilemma about turning himself in and some crazy event will happen last second as a cliff hanger at end of season. What do I win -
I thought it was good.
For some reason, I went in thinking this was the last season. But if it's going to be better, I'm glad there's more time.
I hadnt thought of the Deb gas-scene as anything that would incriminate her, but that scene doesn't serve that much purpose unless they come back to it. Still, it would be easy to just forget it.
I loved how much this episode covered. LaGuerta finding the slide leaves a lot of possibilities. I loved when Masuka called back Dokes as the Bay Harbor Butcher. I had forgotten how that was resolved & I'd love if they resurface that case. I thought the season with Dexter as the serial killer that the PD was hunting for was a big missed opportunity that should have been better. -
But oh my god, no. An undercover cop wouldn't shoot a fucking kid.
-
Guys in real life those cops would not give enough shits to check security footage on
gas stations for a serial killer that killed himself .. even in real life they would be glad hes dead
and really woudlent give a shit how he died and im sure wrap the case up very fast -
Following that premise Masuka, LaGuerta, and Batista better watch their backs. They will be ones that get killed by Dex and Deb in the Series Finale.

great episode...so many good plotlines shaping up
quinn is quickly rising to the skyler ranks of most hated television character...you go to a strip club to try to get people to help you...give you answers....and you call everyone a pervert two times in the first 30seconds...they set it up perfectly for dexter to kill him last season...why couldn't it just happen?! -
to be fair, he brings a lot of talent onto the show as his love interests (DEB NOT INCLUDED), so lets keep him around plz

Who the fuck is Louis? Pretty excited about the development of that storyline. And we got the Russian mob involved. Gonna be a crazy season
-
Great episode until HE FUCKING KILLED THAT GUY IN THE GOD DAMN AIRPORT. WTF was that shit?
either Dex is getting sloppy or the writers are getting realllly lazy. -
Guys, the writers have always been lazy. Stop acting like this is anything new. They have never paid intense attention to details. That's just the way this show is. Suspend reality and just enjoy the show
No one has ever killed 100+ high profile people like Dexter has. Serial killers with large kill counts generally prey on hookers -
Completely agree Dolphin def have to suspend reality for this. I do agree we have scene a slight drop off since season 4 but come on that was one of the greatest seasons of all time. Lithgow is what got me really hooked. Saw the first 3 episodes of that season and was like aw shit have to go back and watch it all loved it since.
-
Never really though to that... Wow talk about a twist if he knows Brian/related to him.
-
We talked about it last season. My initial thought was that be was a third brother to Brian and Dexter but he may be too young for that to be possible. Then someone mentioned it could be Brian's son. I thought he may be too old but the timeline fits more than him being a third brother
-
Doesn't the bf already know about dex? Hey dex you want to play my new game where you get to be the serial killler.
-
Deb will die this season, but not at the hands of Dexter (probably Louis) who has some weird connection to Brian/Dexter.
Awesome episode, looking forward to this season.
