So I am getting gifts for my nieces and nephew but I have no idea what they want and from what I can tell the parents already got what they wanted. So i decided to just give them all ten bucks. It will be given as so
oldest 10 dollars in pennies
second 10 dollars in nickels
third 10 dollars in dimes
fourth 10 dollars in quarters
youngest 10 1 dollar bills
So what are the chances the kids cry? -
i am laughing at how the kid who got the pennies is gonna be thinking he got hooked up before the gifts are open, and the kid with the bills is gonna look at it and be like weak... then theyre gonna open them up, and the tables are gonna drastically change

I hope so. Don't want to go anyway I have not bought anyone a Christmas gift since I was like 8 and am basically being guilted into this because this is my daughters' first Christmas. I prefer to teach the kids useful skills rather than buy them material crap that will be broken in a month. Guess I am a grinch

Nah kids not related to me can have all the sugar they want.

Just b/c you don't believe in Santa, doesn't mean you have to ruin it for everyone else.

I hope this thread is a joke. If not, then please just get the kids gift certificates to a toy store.
Also, don't be cheap. If you can only afford $10 then that is fine, otherwise, make it at least $20 so that they can buy something for themselves. -
I don't mind $10 only because, nieces/nephews have a way of mutiplying quickly. In the span of a couple of years, I went from having 1 to having 5 (and likely more on the way). The oldest ones remember, and it's tough to cut back as they get older (and remember, if you have your own kids, your going to be spending a lot more on them).

So, even if you can't get much for $10, you likely aren't the only money giver, so combined, they can still get something nice. -
1,000 is a lot of pennies...
are you planning on putting the coins in rolls or something equally creative?
