    There are way too many strains to explain the different effects of all of them but all fall into these two categories...

    Sativa - Long thinner buds, more uplifting, brainy high
    Indica - Thick wide buds, couch lock, body high

    yes, strains. a comprehensive book, maybe, of the types. sifted thru amazon a little, still haven't found what i was looking for though. maybe it's too big, as someone said.. a specific guideline would be cool enough though. more in depth than sativa & indica.

    I grew weed indoors for a few years. I got my seeds from a friend who went to the Cannabis Cup.

    I grew Hindu-Kush x Skunk #1. I had a 400 watt Metal Halide (sp?) and a 400 watt high pressure sodium bulb. I had a 40 watt light for cuttings.

    I used 2 different types of bat-guano for fertilizer (all organic, no hydro). One for growth (hi nitrogen) and one for flowering (high phosphorous).

    Set all this up in a closet with Mylar on the walls and a divider to seperate flowering plants. Hand watered all plants (kind of a pain in the ass). Yield was an ounce per plant (about 30 plants total). Used an exhaust fan that was run through the ceiling to exhaust hot air (it get super hot if you don't).

    The last year i had a Co2 tank with a tube on the end and a gauge attached and a timer that went on every 2 hours to accelerate growth and flowering.

    This was a pure indica hybrid and with careful pruning, you can get 1/2 ounce tops. Super red hairs and sugar-like crystal coating. Two pulls from the 4-footer and you were through dealin' for at least 4-6 hours.

    Organic requires patience, but i like the taste compared to hydro, where if you don't flush the system with clean water the last week of flowering it tastes like chemicals.

    Expect 6-9 weeks for full flowering. Hydro can speed up the process.

    If i remember correctly there was a great book i had on growing weed, I think it was called Indoor Marijuana Horticulture, by Jorge Cervantes.

    If your looking for a book and not a website I would recomend The Canibible by Jason King. There are 2 volumes and they both have a bunch of strains and descriptions.

    all the weed that I have ever smoked has obv been swag weed. other than hydro.. either way... do the differant types of weed affect you differantly. i've only ever been slummed out.. and ready to sleep.
