    RICHMOND — State Delegate Bob Marshall of Manassas says <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1267030418_0>disabled children</SPAN> are God's punishment to women who have aborted their first <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1267030418_1>pregnancy</SPAN>.
    He made that statement Thursday at a press conference to oppose state funding for <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1267030418_2>Planned Parenthood</SPAN>.
    "The number of children who are born subsequent to a first abortion with handicaps has increased dramatically. Why? Because when you abort the first born of any, nature takes its vengeance on the subsequent children," said Marshall, a Republican.
    "In the <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1267030418_3>Old Testament</SPAN>, the first born of every being, animal and man, was dedicated to the Lord. There's a special punishment Christians would suggest."

    Obviously no one in their right mind would attribute these thoughts to all Christians (or even most). But the word some would seem appropriate tbh.

    This guy is obv a total dipshit. It goes both ways. There are dipshit atheists and there are dipshit Christians.

    Just because someone believes in religion that doesn't suddenly grant them a high level of intelligence. The same goes for atheists. Just because someone chooses not to believe they don't suddenly become smarter all of a sudden. Intelligence has absolutely NOTHING to do with someone's beliefs regarding religion.

    I know a lot of atheists like to think that they are smarter than believers because they think that believing in a religion is impractical and illogical. On the same hand you are gonna have some believers that think they are smarter than atheists.

    Where the fuck is Manassas anyway? It's obv some super small county in Virginia I mean who gives a shit what this retarded hick has to say. He makes Sarah Palin look like a genius!!

    Uhm, actually, if I'm not mistaken, Manassas is near DC and not that small. I could be wrong, though, and maybe thinking of somewhere else. This is still a very inappropriate comment and by far not the opinion or belief of the average Christian. People like this sadden and sicken me and I'm a pro-life Christian.

    Exactly. Just because this idiot happens to be Christian doesn't mean all Christians think like this. There are plenty of non-believers who are morons as well. The real common thread here is Republicans.

    Ever heard of the Battle of Bull Run? That was in Mannassas. As for making Sarah Palin look like a genius, not sure that's possible. (as a side note I wonder if she aborted her first pregnancy? lol)
