  1. Time Warner is raising cable fees again starting 1MAR09. I am done with them. Looking for feedback on Dish and DirectTV.....Pros and cons.

    Thanks in advance.
  2. I had DirecTV for about five years, and liked it a lot. But after a move, we had some technical problems, and their support was BRUTAL.

So we switched to Dish Network about a year ago...and I like it fine. I miss not being able to get the Extra Innings baseball package, but that's it.

  3. i have dish networkand have never had any problems except the internet SUCKS
  4. DirecTV
  5. directv - all the sports packages are great, but the NFL package alone is worth it
  6. i have had both direct and dish over the years I liked directtv a lot better it seemed like the picture was better and the channel lineup was better

i will say that it has been a long time since i had dish so the differences may have been eliminated a long time ago
  7. DirectTV and it's not even close
  8. directv for sure... sports packages are great and its cheaper per month i believe..also get a better channel selection
  9. Not even a conversation, DirecTV by a mile.
  10. I gotta agree, DirectTv, they give you more channels in each of their packages.
  11. I have an absolute horror story about DirectTV.

Needless to say I wouldn't ever recommend them to anyone, ever, under and circumstances.
  12. DirecTV's customer service is god fucking awful. I've had it for about 3 months, and had to call them like 9 times before they'd finally send somebody out to reposition our dish.

Don't know anything about Dish, but their customer service can't be worse.

Now that the dish is repositioned, it's been fine.
  13. Does DirectTV have internet? If it does, does poker software work well?
  14. yes you can get Internet through directv, but like all satellite connections, it's gonna be spotty if the weather is bad
  15. yeah that's what I thought, and that's why I stick with Comcast, even though they are thieves. At least I get $10/month off for having both TV and internet. I might even change over for phone service if they give me a really good deal for at least a year.
