I've tried to do this recently with some of my favorites like Fightclub and L.A Confidential, but just can't do it. I get so bored, makes me wonder what people actually do with dvds that they buy.
-
I have seen Training Day, Pulp Fiction, 40 YO Virgin, Heat and Die Hard with a Vengeance at least 30 times each. Aside from that, I generally half way pay attention to movies that I've already seen. I guess you could compare it to 'skimming through' something while reading.

If by dvds you buy you mean torrents u store on ur external then, just comedies or Lord of the rings or something
ya a movie like LAC kind of loses its rewatch value -
I have seen over 20 movies 10 plus times atleast
Toy Soliders - Not the cartoon one
The Rock - Just watched for the 25th time on Sunday
Con Air
Almost all Adam Sandler movies
Remember The Titans
Varsity Blues
Goonies- Pushing 30-40 times, lol
Stand By Me
Dark Knight
Few Good Men
Rounders
Old School
40 Year Old Virgin
Just naming a few off the top of my head - More I think about it, prolly 30-40 movies I've seen over 10 times
Also, I like watching them more when their on TV and not on DVD, even though gotta deal with the commercials, its just like a surprise to me, I didn't plan on watching it and I get excited for them when I see them on -
I rewatch movies and shows all the time. After a while, you forget the details of what happened, and after you watch something more than once, you can always pick up on something new.
Sometimes I don't really appreciate a movie or show until I've watched it a few times. -
I will watch The Hangover at least 15 times before I die.
-
I HATE watching the same shit more then once. My wife watches the same movies over and over and over again.. i dont get it, you already know whats gonna happen!
-
I love re-watching movies... Fight Club is actually one of my favorites to re-watch because of all the shit you catch that you never noticed the first time around. The little nuances that make the ending more credible.
Some movies with "surprise endings" are completely unwatchable after the first time such as Derailed with Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston. Completely horrible movie anyway, but after you know the ending it makes the rest of the movie even worse. -
I tend to watch movies that feature more action and/or special effects than great acting or drama, so I enjoy pulling them out occasionally and watching them again.
-
Rewatching "movies" is a waste but rewatching "films" is necessary unless you are a savant and can take it all in the first time.

Movies ive watched multiple times:

but I also have sleeping movies; I have to sleep with the TV on so I play movies that I've seen over and over just for the background noise...If I would just put some cable program on I would be tempted to look at whats going on if I hear something interesting...I think I've watched Armageddon, Bugs Life, Contact, Dazed & Confused well over 100 times each. -
absolutely i watch them more than once if I enjoyed them the first time
several of them that I really like I watch numerous times -

yes - I re-read books, too
-
i understand how some movies can be tough to rewatch esp. those where the plot twists are the whole excitement, but there are def. plenty which i can rewatch over and over again.

the big lebowski is rewatchable again and again...
-
my gf's brother just moved into a house close to us, and he's got something like 600 DVDs stacked all over the house, apparantly he got rid of half of them before he moved...

i like to watch the old favourites every now and again but i dont think i own more than ten dvds and i usually delete a torrent after i've watched it. -
I have watched the 3 first star wars movies at least 10 times each. Big Lebowski at least 15 times. I've watched sawshank redemption 6-8 times. Blues Brothers 5-6 times. The usual suspects 5-6 times. I've watched the 3 first die hard movies 2-5 times each.
Recently I've watched a few older movies for the second time, like Batman (the one with jack nicolson as the joker), Dirty Works, Private Parts, Tango and Cash, Good Will Hunting.
And this is just the movies I can think of right now. -
This, though I agree some movies are really tough to rewatch.

I think you're the first person I've come across that loves that movie as much as I do. At one point in my life I could pretty much say all of the lines, even the shit in German. I love that movie.

I very rarely buy DVD's. I only buy the ones I'll watch multiple times. Buying DVD's to see if you like the movie is such a waste. My older brother does that and I just pick off his collection to see movies I've never seen before. If he doesn't have it, I just hit up a local Redbox and rent it for a buck.
