Do you call "online friends" by SN or real name in 'real life'

    Whenever you meet someone that you originally met online whether it be OT or poker or any other forum, do you refer to each other by Screen Name or the person's real name?

    I found myself in the habit of calling my buddy in RL by his SN b/c we play poker a good bit together online.

    I met a lot of guys out at the WSOP and you feel kinda gay saying their on-line names.

    I make it a point to always use their real name. I call Waco "Jared", Mhoddi "Mike" and ess286 "Douchebag."

    Yea the other day he came over and i was like "what's up fiz" w/o even thinking twice about it. I guess once you actually meet the person and call them by real name it isn't a problem.

    lol that's true. You do call me BGX...I forgot about that.

    I would say that Wowswift is one of the only ones I even consider calling by her online name, and that's because she's an icon. I still make an effort to call her Paula though.

    I tend to call people by their real name. Except for instances where I have never ever done so, like Mkind, shipitthisway, etc. People I talk to quite a bit I will call by their real name. It really depends.

    I get called Jester by most online friends... usually b/c there are like 3 or 4 Steve's around and yelling out "Steve" gets multiple responoses.

    i always use screen names. i don't call many of my friends in real life by their first name either so it isn't any different. it is too hard to switch so i just stick to what i know them by

    always the real name but frequently i had to learn the real name in my head before i got there.
    suddenly "hot gine" is now known as "cindy". always ask in person if its still ok to call her "hot gine" since its hot and leads to sex faster.

    I must admit that I do call people by their screen name almost all of the time. However, most of the conversations are via AIM so that's prob the reason

    It depends. Some people I use their real name, some people I use their screen name. I remember last year when I was driving out to Chaz's, I called him when I was on the way and it was the first time I had talked to him on the phone. I'm thinking to myself, when he answers, do I say "Hey, it's SICKTIGHT or do I say Greg?" "If I say Greg he might not know who it is."

    I do a mixture of boht. I have met numerous P5ers and some you just have to call by their SNs. Like waco for example.

    I think possibly the most retarded thing I've ever done was when I met SoCalDrew. Like 20 mins after I met him I was about to say something to him, and I was like "Wait... what's your name again" and everyone at the same time obv was like "Drew..." Hahahaha I'm such a fucktard.
