This one...
Its about time someone had enough balls
The thread was about a man who was informed by his wife that their 2-year-old daughter had said she was molested by the family's neighbour. The father then went to his neighbour's house and stabbed him to death.
I was troubled by many of the responses in that thread as well as the original poster's comments. I couldn't believe so many were actually applauding this guy for his actions. I don't want to live in a society where people go around killing others who have been accused of a particular crime (no matter how terrible it may be). The reason for this is because the accused may actually be innocent. There are even people convicted in a court of law that have later been exonerated.
The police investigation has now concluded and they found that no molestation occured. The neighbour was innocent making an awful story even worse.
Here is the updated story -
I agree that the father was WAY out of line.
The civilized way to handle this situation is to go next door, beat the piss out of the neighbor until he confesses, and only then should you stab him to death. -
NH dad
would be a lot less problems in this world if more justice like this.
I would have dont a lot worse
OOOPSSS -
this guy is fucked, bad...gg vigilante 'karma'
-
While I don't agree with the action, I can say that if someone molested my little girl, well, gg to the guy who did it.
-
im confused agriffrod

Let me say this ONE TIME. You have NEVER been in his position. I HAVE!!!!!!!!!! My 2 oldest daughters were molested over a 2 year period by a close family friend ( was their school bus driver and our neighbor). Once my oldest daughter finally told her D.A.R.E. officer in school I got a knock on the door from a detective from the sherriffs office. They informed me of what happened. I immediately jumped off my porch and had 6 sherriffs hold me down and finally cuff me to try and calm me down. After the rape tests and my daughters statements they arrested him and it came to light this happened years ago to other children just that he got away with it by pressuring the parents ( ala payoff ).
Please until you are in that situation DO NOT ATTEMPT to say what you think you would do.I had bad intentions that evening. But We got NO justice either. He killed himself once his lawyer told him that all the evidence ( D.N.A. and statements) was going to put him away for the rest of his natural life. He took a bottle of Morphine sulfate, drank a 5th of vodka, started up his van in his garage. Knelt down behind it and shot himself in the head.
EDIT:
He was %100 guilty. He left a suicide note and said he was sorry for what he did to the girls and that he wished it never happened. -
except this guy did NOT molest the daughter.....there were no detectives, there was no evidence
he just killed a guy -
I read the story and the update and understand that. With that said YOU just dont understand what goes thru a parents mind when they hear that kind of news. Yes the father was WRONG and will pay for it.
-
i teach 'CAP' (child abuse prevention) classes at local elementary schools through my school, i have been the first one to hear about molestation that kids face...please stop with the DW insult type caps...just because i dont have kids does not mean i have never seen the face of molestation
if it was my kid, no doubt id rage-more than likely follow this mans ignorant example, hell i couldnt even think straight for about a week after the first time i heard a girl say her uncle was molesting her...but thank you again for letting me know that i couldnt understand being angry when i hear a grown man is molesting a child just because i dont have KIDS -
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=4 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>chaz,
Obviously I can't imagine what anyone in that situation would be feeling. He did the wrong thing but it's completely understandable why he did it (again I can't comprehend how angry he must have been). My problem was with those saying he did the right thing (he may have thought so at the time but he wasn't thinking rationally). Here is what I posted in the original thread. It best explains how I feel about the situation (both then and now).

But imagine if the accused/killed man was innocent. Has anyone even considered this to be a possibility? Would you still be applauding this guy for killing the man accused of molesting his daughter? Imagine a scenario where he still receives the same information and reacts in the same way. Except the man he kills turns out to be innocent. The idea of innocent until proven guilty applies no matter how terrible the alleged crime is.
What is the difference between a guy accused of stealing a car and a guy accused of molesting a two year old girl? Is the guy accused of molestation obviously guilty because his alleged crime is so much worse? Does he deserve to die before even having a chance to defend himself in a court of law? Imagine if you were accused of a crime like this (and you're innocent) but before you have the chance to defend yourself, you are violently killed by a man fueled by anger (and lacking any rational thought) who thinks he knows you are guilty.
I can't pretend to know how this guy was feeling at the time. But I just can't see how anyone can say he did the right thing. I can't see him sitting in a cell twenty years from now, having not seen his daughter grow up, saying he would do the same thing all over again if given the chance. I know I would choose a lifetime with my family over a moment of bloody revenge. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> -
Yes you may get angry. It may upset you for a week. How about upsetting you for years? How about looking at your daughters day in and day out and think " what could I have done to stop this from happening". Yes they go to therapy and are doing well. I am glad there are people like you talking about this to school age children. For that I thank you. I was not trying to insult you just telling you it from a fathers perspective who actually went thru it.
-
chaz,
sick sick story. i don't know what to say but unreal.
you're right, he really wasn't brought to justice,
but fuck it, that childmolesting pussy went out
like the bitch that he was.
gg fuckface, rot in hell.

completely understand.. and i hope the counseling goes well, it is a MUCH NEEDED-no sarcasm in those caps- step, you cant hide from something that happened, and im glad for you that the police were there (this may be the only time i praise police presence) :-)
-
Darnell,
I know my children will never get the justice they deserve. Another factor in all this is that his son lived with him and NEVER did anything to stop it. Some of the testimony from my daughters made me Violently ill.
I really lost it that day and there is a part of me that I will never get back again. I still get really emotional when I am with my girls sometimes cause as a father I feel that I failed them and that I could have done something to stop it. He was the TYPE A perv. He had them convienced that since he was a grown up that we would belive him over them. He would buy them stuff to bribe them.
This topic always gets to me. Once I recieve my settlement from my knee injury my wife and I plan to set up a Foundation for abused children. -
E,
I am glad there is a understanding there. I don't like to get pissed at people over this. You are doing a good service and I appreciate it. The only reason they had 6 officers there was because they talked to the Chief of Police in my town and he let them know of my Martial Arts / Fighting background. Trust me I didnt make it easy for those officers. But they also were the same ones that arrested the scumbag and they made a point of telling me they made sure they took him in a manor of lets say "Resisting Arrest". -
chaz,
i hope you don't beat yourself up any more. you're prolly an amazing parent and your daughters still love you no matter what. if you had any inclination this was going on you would have stopped it. but you didn't. and that guys son will live with this shit for the rest of his scumbag life. so fuck him too.
gl with the charity foundation too.

darnell just said what ive been tying to type...you cant do anything if you dont know whats happening...these ppl are mental manipulators as much as anything and usually the kids will hide it if anything
-
The question is Chaz, if you heard about this from your wife, would you immediately go find the person and kill him? I know once you heard it from the police that you probably (and rightfully so) wanted to kill him. So do you really think you would/could kill another human being? Especially if you were not completely sure it was him.
-
Staple If I head it from my wife I would have had to go to the girls first (they were 6 and 10 at the time) and talk to them. I know that I would have done that first. As for the Question can I kill another human being. With just cause yes 100% without a doubt I could.

"Yes they deserve to die and i hope they BURN IN HELL!!!" ?? Is that the quote? -
^^^WTF R U talking about.

I can understand why the father killed the guy. He shouldn't have but I totally can understand where he was coming from. Our justice system doesn't do nearly enough to these SICK FUCKING DEGENERATE child molesters. If you are convicted of this you should be locked up for the rest of your life with a tatoo on your forehead that says child molester or something like that. Let the prison population deal with these shit bags. If you molest a child you take away their innocence, you rob them of a normal life. I have never dealt with this situation in anyway but I knew a girl my wife was friends with in college who it had happened to and I don't think she will ever full deal with it.
I feel bad for Chaz's kids because they won't ever get closure. That pussy mother fucker killed himself and robbed those children one last time. We as a society need to up the penalties for this. I would be totally satisfied if child molestation was death penalty offense. These sick fucks have no place in society. If someone molsted my son I would for sure want to kill them in the most torterous fashion possible and if the oppurtunity came I would probably take it. -
that is why counseling is the biggest step....and with support, they can get over it....i am not in any going to dignify their actions but there is a good chance they were molested/abused as well....its a stupidly vicious cycle, and it is about more than just giving them a scarlet letter for life..education is essential, the parents, the community, etc
.when they get to prison they are branded already, they dont need a tattoo on their forehead...but i agree, it makes me sick -
^^^WTF R U talking about.
I'm not sure I can explain my post any better than it already is. -
Okay Gig now that you put the REST in there I understand. Still kinda worked up again.
-
There is something else missing in all this. Not only are the kids traumatized and the parents but the rest of the families on both sides. My family had a hard time dealing with it. And his estranged daughter came to us and told us all about what their family was going thru. Even though she was not talking to her father anymore she got alot of grief at work and such.
