My sister was wanting to get into some kind of business concerning selling dogs. Not in the puppy mill kind of way but in the good way. She wants to do everything the right way (give the dogs their shots and treat them well and make sure that they have good homes when they are sold) but I can't find any kind of info for her.
Every time I try to google some info all I can find is sites that talk about people who breed dogs to death and stuff and places to buy dogs.
How could she get started in this business?
What are the most profitable kinds of dogs to breed and sell?
Are there any books or anything that she can get to get started?
Thanks everyone -
She doesn't have any experience at all?

I used to compete with my dog in duck hunts. Many of the people there were breeders of pure bred black labs(thats where I got my dog). To really get good money you have to be known in the dog community in the area you are planning to sell them. If you are a nobody and have no experience it is hard to get going. If she planson opening a pet shop sort of business that is a different story.

She knows about animals, she and her husband have horses and cows and things. She was just wanting to know what the most lucrative breed of dog to sell would be. Can you just get some registered dogs and start up? Do you need some type of special license to breed animals?
She is looking for something to kill time and make a little money (not poker). She ran a daycare for ten years but it burned down last month. She is not trying to make a living at it, just make a little extra money.
