  3. I've never liked them, but I keep hearing that their computers are the best/better than dell, yada yada.

    Any truth to this?
  4. dell is worse. It took me 4 hours of going through dumbshit to get them to tell me what i told them when i called. That the power supply died. MORONS

    but if you buy a business line model of a Dell, you get US customer support....every time. lol
  6. HP used to be good machines, until Carly sold out to Compcrap.
  7. my sister and neighbor have a dell....nothing but problems. Neighbor's takes an hour to boot up.
    I have a HP for 6 years and it never gave me a problem until recently....might be time to upgrade.
    next tourney i win I promise...
     
  8. Every person I've seen whose computer took an hour to boot had 1,000 worms, spyware, etc. Not really dell's fault in my opinion.

    Must be different for everyone 'cause I have 3 dells in my family and the only problems on them were caused by me and my friend limewire :-)
  9. yeah if their is something wrong with the comp, you usually know when you get it.

    I have two compaq's, one HP, and the laptop is a dell. never had a problem with any of them.

    cept when my computer got aids. but that won't happen again.
  10. I bought a desktop for 1700 (ie pretty nice desktop) from dell. When i took it out of the box, the sound didnt work.. GG dell. I have gone to a gateway and wont go back.

  12. ive owned a toshiba and a dell. the few problems i had were easily taken care of with support.

    my office has a bunch of hp tablet pcs and the computers suck more than swift. hp support seems to have an infinite number of departments, none of which speak to each other or have access to each other's information. at least i'm getting paid to listen to crappy hold music.

  14. I ve owned more than 10 of them and never had a problem with any of them. The one dell i bought because i thought i was getting a deal sucked ass and ended up being more expensive than any of the others
