I don't smoke and drive anymore because I was in a car with a friend who got a DUI while we were smoking a blunt in the car (Thread somewhere on P5's) but If a friend is driving and he wants to smoke a blunt, as long as I don't have weed in my pocket(Which I never don't because I don't hold it either) I'll smoke all day in the car.
Recently I have started to hang out with my drug dealer and when I'm in the car with him and were smoking, If we got pulled over, could I get in trouble since he has soo much weed on him?! -

This exact thing happened to me 15 years ago. I had no idea that my crazy buddy was driving around with 3/4 of a pound stashed in his trunk. We were drinking all day and left a party in Boston and I thought he was dropping me off 4 streets over at my dorm. Cop rolled up on us. The kid had something like 45 roaches and beer cans all over the car lol. Cops searched his trunk and almost didn't even find it then he picks up a sweatshirt and goes jackpot.
I got simple possession even though he completely owned up to the fact that it was his. Got con't without a finding and a 260 dollar fine... Also had to spend the night in jail because it was late Sunday night. We got taken the next morning to court and put in a holding room with real criminals and that pretty much convinced me I didn't ever want to get arrested again. Cheap lesson IMO.
As for you what is the value in driving around and smoking weed with a guy holding any kind of weight? It's certainly not worth it. The very best case scenario the cop tells you to take a walk.
It is pretty comical though asking OT's advice. What do you want to hear? Call your local police station and ask them what could happen. Another thing to think about is how well do you know the guy. He could pin it all on you because he has other shit pending or something. Then it is your word against his. -

i dunno about you guys, but before im heading over to a friends house i usually drop by the store to pick up some beer or a nice bottle of wine. i proceed to put the purchased beer/wine in my trunk, and then drive without a care in the world. i dont see anything wrong with having mj/alky in the car as long as ur not drinking/smoking. plz understand that the LEO has no right to go through your car unless you give him PROBABLE CAUSE which you will do if ur car stinks of some sticky. its just MJ, and trust me when i say this, there are bigger things the LEO is worried about when they pull u over. u know how when they say mj is a gateway drug? the cop ofcourse is gonna nail you for the mj if given a reason, but hes more worried of you having other shit in there because of gateways that mj brings forth ie harder drugs and guns.

Each state is different; for example in Florida the owner of the car is responsible for the contents inside the car. If I'm a passenger and have any illegal substance on me and we get pulled over all I have to do is put it anywhere within the car.

It's your car and you are responsible for what's in your car. If the cop wants to bring you in he can and will. You could beat the charge in court, but it's still a big expense and hassle.
Might I suggest that you attempt to avoid such a situation. -

yeah, i'm not sure if i read the OP correctly - i thought he was saying it was his car and he was driving his dealer around blazing - might not be as big of a deal if it's his dealer's car and he's just a passenger, but obv depends on the state - but still, why fuck with it - just wait to blaze when you get where you're going - no need to draw heat on yourself if you're driving around with illegal substances in the carOriginally Posted by Donkallionaire
