  1. For about 20 mins while swimming before i noticed it!

It was'nt in salt water luckily which i heard was a lot worse.

It does'nt turn on or anything.

I just started to try and dry it out with a hairdryer and it got the fog out of the camera lens so i guess that it is helping.

Any suggestions on fixing this or am i fucked here?
  2. Hope you have the insurance. Just take it and tell them it aint working, once you dry it out.

  3. if you keep the heat from the hair dryer on it you can burn up certain elements of it - get a bag of uncooked rice (battery out, obv) and leave it buried in there overnight.

  8. 20 minutes?? haha come on man. the rice trick is for when you drop it and instantly recover it. I think the next step of the grieving process is acceptance. these phones have a water damage indicator so I wouldn't count on the replacement either. sorry bro

  9. Ya i was just told too, that one you get it wet, if you try to turn it on you will fry the motherboard or w/e....which i've done. So acceptance is absolutely the next step

  10. I recently recovered my shitty motorola phone that was submerged in a pond for about a minute. It didnt seemt to be functioning but after a day of drying it out, the screen was a bit fucked but the phone was working although a bit glitchy. After 2 days the phone worked fine but the screen was still a bit messed up which it still is 2 weeks later. At least the phone still works though.

I wouldnt give up hope and I wouldnt be too worried about using a hair dryer to dry it either just dont use the high heat setting.

  11. 1. throw out phone

    2. iphone 4 comes out in two weeks

    3 get an asian massage

    4. profit to the amount of - $359 + tip for happy ending
  12. my roommate put his iphone through a wash cycle.

after it dried, it worked normally.
  13. You are not fucked. Perfect opportunity to get a sick droid imo.

    WIN

(honestly bro, dont even waste your time trying to revive the thing, it is dead. Bury it and get something new. Anyone who thinks you can save this phone is dreaming/clueless/being sarcastic.)
  14. You are screwed, I fell in the pool last year while shit faced and my iphone was in my pocket. They have sensor on them that they will see at the apple store when you take it in to be checked out that indicates water damage. My phone never worked again. You can get a refurbished Iphone for $200.

  15. It's not a total loss. You can still get like 50 bux for it on ebay listed as water damaged.
