Dry socket

    I had a molar pulled 13 days ago and got a dry socket. Today it still hurts and I'd just like to say that dry sockets suck.

    HAH my dentist said if i got it i would be brought to my knees in tears, is it really that bad?

    Drink some Hi-C. This is proven to work with dry sockets.

    Not that bad. I was told it would be throbbing pain (worse than childbirth). Not near that. I only had a portion of bone exposed.

    Still, it aches. Like a tension headache. Dentist put this crap in the socket that looks like long cut tobacco. That hurt BAD, but felt better after 10 minutes or so. It has clove oil in it and that helps. But getting the dry socket in the first place delays healing by 4x or so.

    It didn't bleed at all after the extraction. No blood clot.

    Shit, when I got dry sockets it kept me up at night with the throbbing - you're lucky.

    Probably smoking cigs. I know that would cause it. Or i guess any type of sucking. So what do you have to to tell us rain?

    My dentist did virtually nothing - put some extremely bad-tasting shit on em, gave me some weak-ass drugs - didn't really help.

    I had dry socket when i got my wisdom teeth pulled and i will say this:

    It was the worst pain i ever experienced in my life.... and I even had 3rd degree burns on 15% of my body at one point. So saying "worst pain in my life" really means something.
