I expect a headline to read something like that in 4-5 hours. The Bears defense is too quick, too smart, and too Hungry for some Vick. Sure he's fast, and can throw a ball a mile, but does that really matter when you have such a swarming defense as the Bears? I'm truly expecting 2 interceptions and atleast 1 fumble by the vickster. And sooner or later all those lil dance moves vick tries to pull in the backfield is gonna get him snapped in half when he meets Peppers, Urlacher, or Briggs....

You guys do remember last weeks Bagel Game against MIA right? when's the last time an NFL team shut out teams in back to back weeks?

I expect Cutler to pick up right where he left off, but i really am expecting Forte to bust out a 150 yrd+ game. Should be fun to watch.

And after ATL beats the packers, the Bears will Further Extend their 1st place position in the Division.

But wait...wasn't it the Giants Defense that tossed Cutler around like a rag doll? And didn't Vick not only survive that game, but run for a TD and lead the Eagles to a win? So if Vick did that against a superior defense, what's he going to do to a team that doesn't even belong in the playoffs, let alone 1st place in their division?

Both teams are pretty good on defense. The Eagles are good on offense. Maybe the best in the league. The Bears, not so much.

The Eagles are picking the ball off at a higher rate than anyone in the league. The Bears are throwing picks at a higher rate than everyone in the league not the Vikings.

I mean, past performance isn't always an indicator of future performance, but based on those measures I don't see the Bears keeping it close, although the Eagles are one of the worst at penalties and the Bears have a history of run good on special teams.

how can a bdubs thread make you think bears homers are bad? they are just for pure entertainment/absurdness.

it goes like this:


- bdubs starts a bears(or any chicago thread), makes ridiculous and humorous predictions and proclaims how great the bears are

- other bears homers ride on his coattails saying how awesome he is (these guys shouldn't even factor in)

- most people laugh and enjoy the thread

- some people take it seriously and say how awful bdubs is

- assholes like me defend bdubs for being a comic genius.

No Asante today, though. As an Eagles fan, this game really worries me. The Bears defense looks very good, and the Eagles nickel package is going to be kinda weak with the rookie. Hopefully, the front 4 can get enough pressure to free up Bradley. If he has to rush the pass, Olsen will tear the middle of the field up. I do think, though, that Vick didn't look too shaken up by the Giants' pass rush, so I hope to see a repeat performance, with fewer drops.

And, of course, they have to play a Thursday night game right after this one. I'll be very happy if the Eagles wind up 8-4 going into Dallas.
