There stood 1 man his playoffs on the line, hopes and dreams of a nation fall upon his shoulders. They look to there leader down 34-22 with under 6 minutes to go thinking...knowing....if they lost this game they are finished. Then comes 1 man descended directly from god himself blessed with the name ELI. Takes his team on his massively sexy shoulders, heart of a lion, eyes of determination, orchestrating an epic yet EXPECTED victory from the best team in the NFC East. Now they control there destiny, they are in 1st place. Despite the haters, he proves week in and week out he IS a top 3 quarterback in the NFL. Throws for 400 yards...just as i said he would...oh whats that? not getting 5000 yards this season? oh yeah? shutup fools.......alreadt 4100 with 3 games to go. He even made fatman jacobs go on a diet this week leading up to the game. I told you so? nah i said that when he won the superbowl oh whats that hes used to being the king of clutch? yep thank you.
NOW...The giants are going to steamroll the NFC into the superbowl to get ELI yet another ring. His team looks at him and he simply rises them to another level due to his amazing talent and level of play. No one expected them to do anything this year, yet here they are...in first place after spanking the cowboys at there own place.
HERE IS A STATISTIC FOR YOU DOUBTERS....ELI....WITH 3 GAMES TO GO CURRENTLY HAS THE MOST TDS OF ALL TIME IN THE 4TH QUARTER FOR A SINGLE SEASON. HATERS GONA HATE BUT YOU CANT DENY STATS!
cowboys are so used to him destroying them in there stadium mr jerry jones himself begged eli to autograph the wall of eli spanking them in there opener there years ago.
-
He's got most 4th quarter touchdowns because he has to get it done in the fourth quarter. Other great teams with great quarterbacks get it done before the 4th quarter, so they generally take it easy. Such a meaningless statistic, but whatever floats your boat
-
merge with cowboys/giants thread plz
-
[ ] Didnt see this coming.
-
it helps when you get two games a year against one of the worst 4th quarter qb's of all time, Romo. I'm never betting on that fuck again.
-
I always say this about 4th quarter passing stats and comebacks.
If they weren't behind through the first 3 quarters, there would be no need to pass so much in the 4th quarter nor would they have to "comeback" from anything.
I would suspect that if Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc. were behind more often, they'd have more impressive stats in the 4th quarter. But when your team is consistently ahead, you don't have to bother to put up big numbers.
Same criticism applies to Tebow, not just Eli. -
but Tebow
-
its all a mental game with him, he slowly breaks down the defense throughout the course of the game using his amazing pyschology on the field then he decides 4th quarter its time to play. You sir know nothing
-
Switch "ELI" with "TEBOW" and maybe I'll read your post

no hate on ELI tho he's the best of the second tier by a lot (first tier right meow being rodgers, brady, benrape/brees interchangeable) -
comebacks against the cowboys should have an asterisk imo
-
when put against ELI Manning anyone could be considered the worsr 4th quarter qb of all time. THAT being said i said all week the giants were winning this game outright, you only have yourself to blame for not listening to someone with inside knowledge.
-
I obviously missed the huge meta-game at play. I stand corrected. Lolz
-
ben ahead of eli? are you kidding me? hahahahahahaa

rodgers, brees, eli all interchangeable...then brady...then a huge gap then stafford benny then who cares?
its like a chess game, he breaks them down. Watch Eli like i have over the years and you will understand -
Lol, I didn't realize you were leveling. WP sir
-
No I am not kidding you.
-
does this look like a level to you? are you blind the stats dont lie, then take into account elis 4th quarter ratings vs these guys and hes easily up with them.
there is NO way ben should be considered ahead of eli at all...your either a homer for a rapist or an eli hater -
ORRRRRRRRRRRRR someone with working eyes who actually understands the game of football.

I disagree, he has been getting it done in the 4th quarter consistently in crunch time. The pressure is a lot higher in the 4th quarter coming from behind. It is not like tebow where he only puts up 7 points a game. He can't help his defense gives up 3 + TDs every game. it's a sick statistic
How? Tebow puts up 3 points a game. his D gives up less than 10 points.Originally Posted by SpankyHamm

giants d gives up a shit ton, eli puts up a shit ton, not his fault he has to always come through in the clutch in the 4th, not like he's not scoring in the first 3 quarters unlike Tebow.
totally different situation -
Preach on my brother Cortz, preach on!
-
4 minutes to see eli complete one pass for 20 yards.
goat? -
Sigh.... The Pats, Saints and Packers and Giants are the worst passing D's in the league. The Pats D is probably the worst overall out of this group and I don't think it would be a stretch to say that the Packers, Giants and Saints have defenses that are probably equal in the quality, with a + to the Packers D for all the turnovers they generate.

The point is, Brady, Rodgers and Brees win the game before the 4th quarter even with their bad D's. So, in 4th quarter they don't need to throw it as much. Obviously, when you need to throw it as much as Eli does in the 4th quarter, you are gonna get more touchdowns. -
How fortunate can you be to play for the lead in the division against Dallas? I was watching with a friend who's a huge Dallas fan last night and remember remarking about the bright side, how Dallas was fortunate to only be down 5 pts in the 1st quarter. Is funny how bad that game was. Giants lose that game against any other division 1st or 2nd.
