Eli has been in the postseason 5 out of 7 seasons he has been the starter (the two years he wasn't - 2009 and 2010 - I guess that's not relevant though since that was so long ago). And in 3 of those postseasons, he was one and done.
Eli's regular season record is 69-50.
Eli led the league in INT's twice and only has a 185 to 129 TD/INT ratio - 87/55 in past 3 seasons.
2 Pro Bowls (i.e. only twice did people think he was one of the best 2-3 QB's in his conference in 7 seasons).
Nice couple of runs in 2007 and 2011 though. -
If Pats called Giants to offer Brady for Manning, Giants say yes.
If Giants called Pats to offer Manning for Brady, Pats tell Giants to go fuck themselves. -
The fact Bill and Tom cant win the big one post-SpyGate, confirms everything I ever thought.
Eli > Brady obv. -
Edited By: DipesLIVES Feb 7th, 2012 at 09:46 AMi dont understand how people forget the fact that eli had 3 chances to finish off the SF game and couldnt do it...and there were a few of those games in the regular season as well that had he driven his team down the field with 7minutes left, people say good game, but because the gaints punted, defense made huge stops, then eli led the team down the field w 2 minutes left, eli is a heroOriginally Posted by sinatra22
I'll give you Rodgers, Brees, and Peyton. But Eli has outplayed Brady every time they've faced each other, including on the biggest stage - in the fucking Super Bowl twice - that has to count for something.
Brady has the better regular season stats, no doubt, but the dink-and-dunk style of the Pats certainly helps to inflate those numbers. When the season is on the line, Eli has icewater in his veins and just gets it done.
Honest question, when the Giants got the ball back with 3+ minutes left and trailing by 2 points, did you ever doubt that Eli would drive the team 95 yeard for the lead? Every person I've asked said they just knew he would get it done. The same can't be said about Brady. He had a a few chances to practically ice the game and he failed (though of course most will blame Welker, Branch, Hernandez, etc..)
how can the same not be said about brady?...with 1minute left and no timeouts, i was confident that brady was gonna lead his team down the field...patriots recover 1 of the 5 fumbles that the giants recovered b/w both SBs, outcome is probably different...asante samuel catches easy pick (nice decision eli), gg 2008...welker makes that catch, most likely gg 2012...manningham drops a pass that he drops 99% of the time...gg 2012...need i bring up tyree?...need i bring up that a HS school teacher caught a jump ball with what might end up being the greatest TE of all time
of course, you can say that the pats got extremely lucky to win their 3 sbs, and they did...and that's why the variance in football is way too much to just say that eli is better than brady because he's beaten him in two games...this isn't tennis...its not head to head...its a team game...there are more factors than just brady vs eli...to compare qbs, you cant just look at head to head matchups....how can people say eli has bradys number?..they never fuckin step on the field at the same time...giants defense has bradys number and eli has the under talented pats defense number (i guess...putting up 21 and 17 pts isnt really having their number...but its more than 14 and 17)
also the spygate thing is laughable...they've had several successful seasons post spygate..actually, every season since has been successful...with the defenses they've had, some can say they've overachieved every season (minus undefeated season....18-1 isnt successful.........)....because they lose one game, they need spygate...bunch of people that just spew opinions with absolutely no statistics or solid reasoning for their opinions in this thread -
The butthurt is strong with Brady fans itt, lol
