It started out with dopey football players saying it every sentence. now my boss says it every 5 minutes. my co-worker says it 10x a day. Please make it stop! This has to be the worst cliche in the english language. whoever says it should die asap.
end rant. -
At the end of the day it's not really that big of a deal and you need to get over it imo.
-
You can start the "at the beginning of the day" trend
-
yea i guess. maybe it just is what it is
-
Waht it all boils down to is your making a mountain out of a molehilll
-
the penultimate outcome is that there will be one more outcome after it

wut? -
that being said sometimes everything just happens for a reason
-
don't take any fucking wooden nickles
no one uses nickles anymore -
I'm gonna give 110% trying to stop saying "at the end of the day".
-
Agree with OP - I worked for someone who said 'At the end of the day' all the time, and it was pretty fucking unbearable.
-
You're tellin' me!
-
I hope to tell ya!
-
Office buzz word/phrase bingo ftw!
-
its bad but i find it worse when someone says (usually in sports) "oh they can do this asgood as anyone"
who the fuck is anyone? the worst player in the league? the average? yea they are as good as everybody. no you fucking asshat, they are supposdly
in the top tier if youre saying that damn nonsense.
damnit i hate troy aikmen and joe buck -
we need to think out of the box on this one.
I used to have a counterpart in the Seattle region that was a retired air force guy. Our conversation would go like this ...
me - Hey John, do you folks have any xxxxxx transformers in stock?
him - oh man, we have bookoo of those things.
me - what?
him - bookoo. we got em.
me - oh, you mean beaucoup - its french for "plenty"
him - ya, whatever. do you want em or not?
me - LOL -
It is what it is, at the end of the day..........lol
-
It is what it is.
-
How could you possibly hate them, they are great

"I don't disagree with that"
That is the dumbest statement ever -
OP,
Just wait till you hear "i want to thank my lord and savior JC" in every other sentence, you will miss the end of the day badly -
anyone else read the first reply and hope that they all started with "at the end of the day"...

ot fail...
but yeh and another dumb saying is "agree to disagree" considering the fact u can say that by saying "whatever" lol -
Im pretty sure my supervisor at work has a "cliche of the month" calender in her bathroom, because she has a new one every few weeks. But the thing is, is that she doesnt know what they mean or use them in the right spot. The one shes using right now is " 9 times out of 10". Like, Ill be walking by her and she'll yell " hey, 9 times out of 10", and then just turn around and walk away, leaving me standing there wondering what the fuck really happens 9 times out of 10.
Last month she loved using the word accrue. I think the calender left out the difinition though. -
nvm, setherson beat me to it lol

"I could care less" is worse, imo.
