    I'm writing a formal essay and want to include a written letter of response by Mark Twain. Do I just treat it as a quote of more than 4 lines?

    Yes. Or create it as an Appendix.

    I think you indent the entire section and single space the lines.

    "It would look something like this with the quote
    indented and quoted with an acknowledgment of
    the quote's author at the end of it."
