Supernatural vs juice
-
I though madchild did very well
-
Eminem vs juice is classic.
Love the old scribble jam battles as well as KOTD. Going to KOTD in LA June 10th to see canibus vs diZaster
Crooked I vs Chino XL on the wake up show
My favorite may be sho khan that Jew just murders people on grindtime (I think that's what it was called)
I love rap battles probably my favorite form of rap -
I didn't think he was that great. He had some solid bars, but overall I was disappointed.
+1
Dude...that KOTD Vendetta event looks doooope! Considering ordering it. Illmac vs. Arsonal should be epic. That Daylyt dude goes hard. Plus Bender's battling. Solid card. -
diz vs Canibus...shit should be dope

Any dizaster battle is entertainment at its finest
Illm,ac vs bender is dope... 24/7 has been in a few great ones as well.
As a child, I watched wwf, now I watch battle raps :) -
good doc on one of the greatest battles ever.
-
That first rap battle was real entertaining. Wish they'd have an audience vote to see who won.

This is the best imo

I like live rap battles where you don't get to prepare for your opponent that have a beat and tourney setting, basically scribble jam is where its at.
Justice had prob the best run in the history of battle rap. Destroyed everyone in australia, everyone in new zealand, then came and destroyed everyone in america including the top 2 at the time (thesaurus and iron solomon) and won scribble in 05 then kinda just disappeared like a G.
thesaurus is the goat
Biggest problem with rap battles is the audio quality. People say supernat vs juice and eminem vs juice....but please show me a video where the quality is bearable. Even the video I posted, the audio leaves something to be desired. I'm not a huge fan of two dickheads standing in a warehouse rapping to no beat on a guy that had 6 weeks to prepare for (iron solomon type stuff). -
awesome thread. thanks op

Yeah, for sure. This one is pretty sick. Plus gotta rep for the brown boys from Ottawa.
I actually prefer this format to freestyle battles. Punches hit harder and flows/delivery are more polished. You have time to research your opponents to kill em with personals. Plus, as you mentioned, sounds quality is better. -
Paki vs any of his bested foes

yung ill vs calicoe, any real deal battle, any illmaculate battle, any soul khan battle(soul khan vs fox was one of the biggest bodybags ever in the modern era), nocando never fully transitioned into written leagues but one of my favorites, nocando vs dirtbag dan one of the biggest robberies ever, nocando vs dizaster had some absurd lines, any of passwurdz early battles hes not as nice recently but pass vs daylyt pass vs illusionz pass vs hollow are all dope, i love battle rap seen most shit since the jumpoff days, its kinda fallen off recently with GT being absolute shit when it used to be the best written league but KOTD puts on good events still, url and some random events get some good battles too, ill post some shit later when i can dig this is just off the top of my head -
we should have an OT rap battle

Pretty sure we had an OT rap battle thread way back.
Who Wants To Rap Battle Me?
great stuff from Blonde and PGH in there -
Really? I thought the battle was very close. But I gave the W to Cortez. His personals were vicious, his flow and delivery were cleaner, and he had the most consistency throughout each round. Round 1 was the closest and hardest to judge. Round 2 was Cortez in a landslide. Those spic-mother/race bars were the highlight of the battle imo.Originally Posted by UncleLeo
Absolutely, I thought the dead friend jabs were kinda low by Cortez. Hollohan had the crowd goin more and was way more witty/creative.
I understand what Leo is saying about the 3rd round being a low blow, but it's the truth. Hollo even says it on a new track he released, after this battle. To me, personals hit harder than random punches about the Simpsons, snitching, etc. Crowd reaction is a terrible way to judge the battle...Hollo is high energy, and mad jokes which will get a louder reaction. Cortez was more technical, more personal, and did more damage to his opponent. Close battle though...I can see how it could go either way.

great piece by Hollohan
hip hop at it's purest imo
