Has anyone seen the commercial where fans of different teams are saying things like "I definitely see the postseason [for their team]" or "I'm thinking penant" or shit like that?... one of the last lines of the commercial is " something beyond optimism" as in fans are overly optimistic about their team and how baseball is something to cherish and some other bs. Well the kid with the pirates hat on says "we're headed in the right direction" with a tone that he couldn't convince himself with... the overly optimistic fan of the pirates can't produce anything better than they're going in the right direction. I'm from Pittsburgh and was once a bucs fan. Thought this was funny

apologies to gamma21 b/c he's a true fan, but this commercial should feature only Angels fans. the worst group of overly optimistic bandwagon jumping fans. they will spend hours trying to convince you that erick aybar is the next hanley and kendry morales is going to hit 40 bombs and drive in 120 this year. God they drive me insane.

LOL. Every team has fans like that. Kendry Morales won't hit 40 bombs, but he was the cleanup hitter for the Cuban national team at 18yrs old.

Also, I think at the very beginning of that commercial there's a Rays fan that says, "I really think we might have a shot this year." O'rly? You were in the fucking World Series last year. -
the only problem when you are the cleanup hitter for cuba at 18 years old is that in reality you're 25
