anyone have any creds? i'm too cheap to buy a membership.

There was a thread a few months ago with ESPN the magazine for like 2 dollars a year, and it came with insider. I must say that was one of the better deals I've come across on this site. Still waiting on my Maxim mag btw. I'm looking at you, Mrs. Mupp.

I got that deal when it was out and it went through just fine. Ended up w/ 3 years for some ridic cheap price. The insider thingy was a 'give cc now and dont get charged til after the subscription runs out as long as you opt out'. Since I'm lazy, forgetful, and forgetful and lazy I never bothered. I dont use the site enough to make forgetting to opt out and actually paying wothwhile.
And espn the mag might be the worst magazine ever. They are doing their part to kill off paper publications, and doing it well. -
Good point BigGun. I take the $2/yr is not available anymore?
-
M<Y buddy left his ESPN account logged into on my Iphone and Instantly changed all his fav teams and make a terrible pick or two for him in SFTC

I just got my first issue for the $2/year deal. I have seen it show up multiple times; I know Mupp/Mrs.Mupp started a thread about it and I made a similar one in March 2010. Here is where I got mine from - http://www.discountmags.com/ - check and see if its still valid, but if it's not, I'm sure it will come up again. I look at www.slickdeals.net daily and they have magazine deals quite often.

i did the subscription thing through one of the threads on here. im almost positive they screwed me. after i did the free subscription to Insider for a year and i finished everything something pops up saying like alright thanks for your subscription. you will receive a year free of insider and then when that year is up you will be charged for a second year at regular price. it was worded like there was no way i could get out when the free year was up. it was gonna make me pay for the second year.
-
from what I've read from people who do this all the time, you have to call and cancel a couple of weeks before your year is up. There is no place on the website to do this; you have to call some 800-xxx-ESPN number or something. If not, you auto-renew at the standard price.

what does insider even do? cant see anything good being on there, if it was newsworthy it would be on the site. I guess if you are someone who can read the same things over and over again or love the minute details.

Completely worth it, IMO.
i dont think id want it for anything other than free just cause -
If you follow baseball with any regularity insider is awesome because almost all the content is insider only. I probably won't renew my subscription because I can get my baseball fix on ussmariner and fangraphs. But if you're not a stat nerd like me it's pretty sweet. Also, Chad Millman's gambling related articles are usually a good read.

i let a few of my buddies use my password and i recieved an email not too long ago saying that they will suspend my account without a refund if that continued to happen. i guess it was numerous attempts from different IPS or something.

as the espn employee on p5s, I must say - as a good comany man - to not give your password up. I mean, its less than the cost of a beer every other month. not going to break anyone.

These are online all over the place:

Place is legit I used that site last year. -
I think people said this already, but if you get a subscription to ESPN magazine, you get the year of insider for free. Just wait until a deal comes along for the magazine, then just get that. Once subscription runs out, then insider runs out too, no fees, no nothing.
