Just waiting for more interest atm. Im thinking 8 runners, 2 teams each. 0-100$ buyin, WTA. Im ok with doing a 16 runner one but don't think we'll get that much interest. Probably do a draw over skype for draft order.

this is a pool a friend of mine sent out, passing it along to OT to see if anyone is interested in doing this format which is 100x better than anything else. We can change it up as to points etc but most of the work has already been done and the sweats for each game make it soooo much better

FIFA Euro 2012 Ukraine / Poland Pool
Intro:
Those of you that participated in the last World Cup pool know how much fun and what a great sweat each game was. I received several questions if we are going to do something similar so I decided to get this out sooner rather than later to attract more participants. With that said, we will try to keep this between people that know each other bc imo, this makes for a much more friendly and fun sweat. XXXXXX will handle all of the organizing in regards to collecting and redistributing money as well as inviting and/or approving new participants. The goal is to have all of the money in his hands before the tournament starts. It is your responsibility to get the money to XXXXXX and to do it without causing him a headache. If for some reason, meeting with XXXXXX doesn’t work out logistically – make sure you agree on a time/place to meet with him. However once you send your completed pool in – you are on the hook for the $25.
I will email a running, accurately updated leaderboard every 3 days (probably even every day). I will be diligent in all calculations but feel free to cross check all results as everyone will have everyone else’s pool before the tournament starts. I will also send my pool ahead of time to XXXXXX and another person TBD for complete transparency. The payouts, while not set in stone will look something like this:
Under 10 people – winner takes all
11-25 people – 3rd get money back, 2nd gets double their money and the rest to 1st place.
26-40 people – 5th gets money back, 4th gets 1.5x back, 3rd gets 2.5, 2nd and 1st split the rest along a 70/30% line
41 and over – TBD and by committee
Regardless, I would like this to be top-heavy to reward the lucky bastard that ships this thing.

Directions:
1. Fill out the entire bracket following the rules listed. You are allowed to correct or even amend your picks up to 24 hours before the first kick-off. However, once the 24 hour deadline hits, you are not allowed to change anything and you alone are responsible for any mistakes or incorrectly filled out bracket. The 24 hour time period is needed for transparency and for us to send out emails to everyone with everyone else’s picks. Include your name, email address and phone number at the end of this attachment.
2. Send your brackets to the following email addresses: XXXXXX
3. Every single prediction must completely line up with your actual picks (ie: if you pick England to win every game, you cannot put that they will finish anywhere but 1st place.
4. Almost every participant will have some tie-breakers to decide so the official FIFA rules are as follows
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Head to head or in the event of a 3 way tie, most points attained between the teams involved.
4a. I will check each pool for accuracy and if there are any discrepancies, I will contact you and allow you to change it accordingly
5. If the point distribution seems unbalanced, I – and others for that matter, reserve the right to slightly change the following format. However, I feel like this should work and if any changes are done – they will be done sooner rather than later.
6. Please fill out yours results and picks to the right of each listing in 16 Times New Roman Bold Font
7. You do not need to send the picks ahead of time if you do not want to but please notify one of us as to whether you plan on participating so we can plan accordingly and notify others as to the number of confirmed participants.


Rules:
4 points for every correct result (ie: England to beat Sweden, England ties Sweden etc)
2 points for every correct score (ie: England – Sweden 1-0) obviously if Sweden wins 1-0, you do not get any points.
1st place in each group: 14 points
2nd place in each group: 9 points
3rd place in each group: 6 points
4th place in each group: 3 points
Leading scorer in each group through 3 games: 5 points (in the event of a tie with another player – you still get the full 5 points)
Team with most yellow cards (red cards (soft of straight) count as 3 yellow cards) : 5 points
Leading scorer for the tournament through first 3 games: 6 points + 4 points for exact number of goals
