Steckelenburg, backed by Vorm and Krul (in that order, too) are a match for ANY countries Keepers. Everybody else needs to earn their spots . . . PERIOD. Too many players standing on the pitch watching their team-mates trying to take on 2-3 defenders to no purpose. You can say what you want about how the Dutch had to attack today, and leave their defence exposed, but that back four has been exposed from the OPENING WHISTLE of the Denmark match. Vlaar might be the only player who is salvageable. Willems might be, too, if they have not shattered his confidence. If Arjen Robben EVER suits up again for the National team of the Netherlands I am going to burn my Oranje flag. PASS the fucking ball you fuck. Just because your crap works in the Bundesliga does not mean you can make it work at the National Team level. van Marwijk will take the fall for this debacle, but there are more than one or two players who should quietly announce their International retirements before August. Personally, I would lose Robben (pass the fucking ball sooner, and STOP DIVING), van Persie (I had high hopes that this past EPL season would see him flourish for the National Team at long last, but it seems never to be), Mathijsen and van der Wiel can go pump gas somewhere and, once the tank is full, can they please take van Bommel and deJong with them?

That implies 10 guys who can play any position on the field, and since their 4 defenders can't even play defense and they have a bipolar offense full of cunts who can't get over themselves and their hate for one another and just play as a team, this is what happens. The main problem is that you never realy expect them to keep a clean sheet. It's tough to win games if you are always conceding. That's why they play with 2 holding midfielders so often. Some of the defenders had the games of their lives in the world cup and that got them through.
