  1. bout fuckin time
  2. Religion is obsolete.
  3. Getting Texans to evolve at a younger age is a good idea, imo.
  4. A creation-pushing religious organization trying to tell students to use "empirical evidence, logical reasoning, and experimental and observational testing" boggles my mind. Words cannot express how hypocritical this is.

Listen, if someone make the leap of faith and believe what the Bible tells them...that's fine. But this is the worst kind of trying to have your cake and eat it too.

  5. wonder how bush feels about that

  9. How can there still be this many stupid people around? Reading that article just tilted me.

By the way, Darwin didn't have a "Theory of Evolution". Evolution was and is an observation. "Natural Selection" was his theory of how things evolved. In fact, the word evolved only appears once in his Origin of Species as the last word at the end.

And, for the millionth time, Creationism isn't a scientific theory - it does't meet any of the criteria for a scientific theory including being based on empirical evidence and being subject to testing.

Any honest scientist will welcome a challenge to his or any other theory in an effort to test its rigor or come up with something better. You can't tell me that those preaching creationism are looking to do the same.

    pm Mr. Galt

    Edit: please don't
  11. I think anyone that considers themselves a Christian should be even more appalled by this than a non-secularist. It is things like this, combined with morality laws, that cause people to be so critical of your religion (even though we know it is the extremists that are responsible, not the moderates). If this insanity was not forced on the rest of us, we would not take an issue with your faith in the slightest.

  14. good point.

i think gambling, drugs, and prostitution should all be legal. religion already tells you if there allowed. why the fuck do you need a second opinion? let all the non-churchy folk have their fun.

The above needs to be focused on more. The way I have always seen it is Darwin's theory and creationism can co-exist. It just boggles my mind when I hear religious groups protesting about Darwin's theories are taught in school.
