The company I work for is paying to put me up in my choice of these two hotels. What is the better choice?
Fortunately this is only for the first two nights and the remainder of the week I stay at the Palazzo. -
never stayed at excalibur but the Riviera was a dive.
-
find another job
-
Lol, yeah. I'm going for work the week after Thanksgiving. Since a friend was going to be there visiting family, he asked me to come out a couple days early and stay with them. He bailed, so my boss said he would pick up the tab if I found something cheap for those nights.

Location pretty much sums it up, not sure why this was even a question.
-
stayed at excalibur once and its not great but passable. never stayed at riviera but based on location alone its excalibur ainec.
-
exacilbur for like every reason.
-
EX..... yup
-
Best two hotels on the strip are Excalibur and Imperial Palace for us non ballers
-
Excalibur because you are still central to the strip.
Riviera is in the middle of nowhere. -
i stayed at excalibur. its not bad at all.
-
This, and the Riviera is a dump.

Get a widescreen room at the ex. Worth the money since they have been updated.
-
Excalibur has no dealer electronic poker tables. SFlame.
-
Yes, prob about 2 yrs. did they get rid of them? shit was wack.
-
i was there Jan 2011 and they had real dealers.
-
After staying at the Bellagio 2x I think I'd have a hard time settling in at the IP

Riveria + Trip Report IMO.
I stayed at the Days Inn that used to be behind the Bally's a few times. It was pretty sketch. Dollar Roluette across the street @ Ellis Island tho. -
I stayed at Excalibur once b/c of ultra cheap rate, I couldn't sleep the bed was so bad. I've gotten more sleep in jail.
-
Avoid the riveria. Have stayed @ lots of propertys in Las Vegas and it was the worst 1 thats stil there. Westward ho was worse, but its long gone. Ex wasn,t great, but better choice of the 2. Kat

This. Excalibur was so much fun. Me, Zepp and like 7 other people got two rooms there one year for a couple of our birthdays and it was one of the best times I have ever had in Vegas. Plus we got 15 out of the 20 people at our two poker tables to take shots of jager with us. Rooms aren't great but do-able and location is really good.

They changed back to regular dealers
IP is FN awesome and right next door to Carnival Court
Great steak deals too -
I stayed there my first trip to Vegas. My now-wife and I climbed through a hole in the chain link fence to save about 5 minutes of walking to get to the strip.

Where is a good place to watch the games on Sunday and get a drunk on?
