  1. I have an econ problem dealing with car production assuming Cobb-Douglas. Basically I have 5843 employees and I'm trying to maximize production between two plants. Is there a way that I can set a constraint using Solver that limits the total employees to 5843? I just need a way to sum the two cells in the constraint box. Yes, I've obviously tried sum() and =sum() etc. Also, if there's a another really easy way to compute this please let me know.
  2. just sum the two cells in a separate cell in the spreadsheet, and click the cell when you are setting up constraints
  3. Yep, that worked. Thanks a lot, knew there had to be a way to do it.
