im terrified of heights, and this shit is ridiculous to me, saw this under the related to the atom bomb time lapse video
-
yeah..this was posted a loooooong time ago.....def crazy. No thanks.
-
no way are these guys paid enough
-
damn if its a repost, my bad, i never saw it, but still...FUCCCCCCCCCKKKKK!
-
They are grossly underpaid. Something like $12 an hour. Lol.
-
Believe it or not I just watched that while sitting on top of a 160ft water tower while I'm waiting for a guy on another tower a few miles away to do his part. That vid makes this climb look like a 10ft ladder. Don't know that I could handle free climbing on that awkward tower at that height.
-
I've never seen it, I feel vertigo just watching it at my desk, my palms are sweaty, knees are weak and arms are heavy.
-
}%}^}^~€~€{ those Russians win
-
That Russian video made my palms sweat so bad.
-
like fucking hell id do that job.
-
I had a friend who did that, he said he was paid about $12/hr.
-
He was just changing light bulbs. It was like 6 years ago, it may have been a little more but it was his job after waiting tables and he was making less hourly climbing up towers then he was serving pizza.
-
My boss is scared of heights so we get double pay for all time spent on towers. All we do is install broadcasters for wireless Internet, not real complicated, all on the job training
-
this video has been posted a million times but belongs in this hand sweating thread
-
No fear of heights, but I do know that I would not climb one of those without the harness.
-
I have less fear of heights than a lot of people and i still cant watch those videos. Id probably have a panic attack.
-
that things gotta sway so much must be crazy
-
In mother Russia, ladder climb you

My cousin worked for a company that serviced towers like that, they traveled to a different city every week. He worked there for about 2 years up until this spring. He fell 15-20 feet transitioning from their ladder to the tower ladder, cracked his femur, broke a half-dozen ribs, clavicle, both legs, and a few otrhers. Didn't get out of bed for a couple months.
He got paid more than $12/hr but yeah he beat the odds I'm sure. I went thru the hiring process myself and made it to the 2nd interview when they realized I've had a dui and told me to fuck off.
