I can agree with the dude it should be up to each individual as to what they put into their body as ADULTS. It should never be legal for children, teens or anybody under 21 to do any of these things, including alcohol consumption.
Drug and/or alcohol abuse never helps children or teens, but it often hurts their chances for completing their education and achieving optimum physical, mental and emotional development. And in worst-case scenarios, many have died or forfeited any chance at a productive future because of them. -
I agree with this for the most part. However, where I have a problem with it for adults over age 21 is when they have children and aren't taking care of them. Then, I have to draw the line. If your drug use is affecting another innocent human being that has no choice but to rely on you for support, then it no longer should be your right. I've worked with too many foster kids who were removed from their homes due to issues secondary to their parents' drug and alcohol abuse. It seriously impacts, if not outright ruins, their life.
