What clothing trends, or random items do you remember that were the must haves growing up.
I'll start with these two classics.
-tight rolling jeans
-slap bracelets -
1. parachute pants
...and in different teenage phase
2. chuck taylors -
shoes that beeped/blinked strobe lights
saying "jordan" out loud each an every single time you shot a basketball. ever.
gladiators lunchboxes -
acid wash jeans
half naked chicks wearing cutt offs!!!! -
1. the calculator watch (oh yeah, got all the chicks with that)
2. toughskins (ok maybe not a fad, but sweetass jeans anyway) -
LMAO ^^^^ Toughskins. FUk I hated when it was 95 degrees out cause ya knew the shit was gonna melt to your knees.

When I was a kid Rats Tails were huge, lol.
-
Rat tails were gheyer than parachute pants.
-
MC Hammer/Dion Sanders pants
Slap bracelets were fucking huge, everybody had a dozen at least, and there was always the girl that ovrerdid the fads that wore like 20 slap bracelets.
cross colors for the brothas
wearing your clothes backwards was cool for 1 summer(kriss cross oh yeah)
weird shorts that were like plaid -
HASH Jeans. Girls with nice asses looked great in these but guys could wear too. I wanted a pair so bad but I think they were an unheard price of $35! Finally did get a pair and probably looked ghey in them. If anyone who is my age (almost 40) remembers these and can find a pic, please post.

Centipede/Ms Pacman/Gallactic Invaders (? I think that's the name) but you had to go hang out at the local hangout to play them. (7-11 in my case)
Younger:
clogs
Dorthy Hamill haircut
those clacker things, two balls on a string with a handle, you had to swing them to get them clacking really fast -
7-11 had video games? Those were the days..................
-
I thought of more......
Flipping your collar up on your shirt (somehow this has been revived recently)
Coca-Cola Clothing (they made Rugby shirts and Jeans....big for about 5 minutes around 1987)
