Usually fads come and go. Starter jackets, Skidz pants, crap like that. But I can't believe the fad of wearing your pants hanging off your ass is still fashionable. I am 30 and this has been going on for at least 10 years. I have seen dudes that literally need to hold their pants up with one hand just to walk around. Will this ever go away?
-
The internet.
-
Nope because black people don't wear belts. (unless they have huge belt buckles)
White kids have no common sense. -
It isn't a fad. It is now associated with the hip hop lifestyle. You ever notice that punk rock kids 15 years ago look the same as punk rock kids today?
-
I didn't know you knew all black people!
-
^^^mason got it. the pink shirt, popped collar, fauxhawk, and aviators(i know that pic isn't showing aviators, but they are the most poser looking shit as of 3-4 years ago)=gay fad still around
-
Punk rocker's all dressing the same since the late 70's & still thinking they're not "mainstream" you're not original kids, you're practically wearing a uniform. There's even a store in the mall tailored for your style (Hot Topic).
That reminds me of King Missiles Its Saturday:
It's Saturday
I want to be different, like everybody else I want to be like
I want to be just like all the different people
I have no further interest in being the same,
because I have seen difference all around,
and now I know that that's what I want
I don't want to blend in and be indistinguishable,
I want to be part of the different crowd,
and assert my individuality along with others
who are different like me
I don't want to be identical to anyone or anything
I don't even want to be identical to myself
I want to look in the mirror and wonder,
"who is that person? I've never seen that person before;
I've never seen anyone like that before."
I want to call into question the very idea that
identity can be attached
I want to be a floating, shifting, ever changing persona:
Invisibility and obscurity,
detachment from the ego and all of it's pursuits.
Unity is useless
Conformity is competitive and divisive and leads only to
stagnation and death.
If what I'm saying doesn't make any sense,
that's because sense cannot be made
It's something that must be sensed
And I, for one, am incensed by all of this complacency
Why oppose war only when there's a war?
Why defend the clinics only when they're attacked?
Why are we always reactive?
Let's activate something
Let's fuck shit up
Whatever happened to revolution for the hell of it?
Whatever happened to protesting nothing in particular, just protesting
cause it's Saturday and there's nothing else to do? -
internet poker

mason is spot on. also, the double polo shirt look! who the fuck started that?
-
Yeah its same here in Ireland, everyone with the pink shirts with popped up collars that started a few years ago
-
??? I've never seen anyone wear 2 polo's at the same time, they really do that? I remember open button-down's & t-shirt.
-
serioulsy,
I am glad that I never once lowered myself to wearing pink -
honda civics with loud exhausts, SUV's, "labtops" (how dumb are you to call it that, so now it sits ontop of a lab?), popped collars, strings, rubber bands, peices of dirty cloth around your wrist, converse all stars, R&B (worst music but i still hear it BLARING at a stop light), cd stores (talk about an expired business model), billy mays products besides hercules hooks, abercrombie t shirts (lol)

Hasnt R&B been around for like 40 years at least?
Other then that, deffinately the fauxhawk and pop collar. Also, black guys that have mohawks. It never looked good on white guys. Just cause Diddy did it 4 years ago, these guys are still wearing them. -
and if you think i'm serious, i've got some beachfront property here in central IL to sell you...

liberals.

Baseball caps sideways on your head.
Skateboarding.
UFC.
America invading foreign countries, next stop, Iran!
...seriously though maybe I'm too ond to understand today's "fashion", it wasn't like this when I was younger, like the time we went over to shelbyville during the war, I wore an onion on my belt...which was the style at the time...you couldn't get those white ones, you could only get those big yellow ones...........now where was I...oh yeah, the important thing was I was wearing an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time............ -
so basically anything you see on BET.......?
-
^^^ The versatility of these things is amazing. I've skydived with them, caved in tiny crawlspaces 200 feet below ground, screwed your sister...
My entry for this post: Fad-bashers. When are people just going to let others be? Probably never. So I guess the insults are funny and make us feel better about ourselves. -
It amuses me greatly to see those who wear their pants barely covering their asses try to run from the police on Cops. Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do.
