  1. I'm starting up a fantasy baseball league. I want to know what everyone thinks is the best website between....1. CBSsportsline, 2. ESPN, 3. Yahoo

If you can give a valid reason why you like that site best, that would be great. I don't care about paying a little bit for better coverage. The people i'm playing with are in my fantasy football league and its unanimous that we all love CBS more than the others.

Thanks for the input and GL at the tables today!

  2. CBS - Most commisioner options available in their paysite ($180 I believe). I don't even know if they even have a free site, or obv, what it is like if they do. If money is not a concern, probably the best for keeper leagues and/or leagues with a lots of specific rules, etc..., although I think that if you don't mind doing some things by hand, it is certainly not worth the $$ they charge. Also the only site of the three that offers a FAAB. ALL players in profesional baseball are available. I have played on there (have not commished), and to my knowledge, you can pretty much set up a league ANY WAY you want it, I think you can even call them and request certain things and they will do it if they can. IMO, the interface is the worst of the three.

YAHOO - People are comfortable with it because it was the first major "free site", and they are used to playing there. You have to pay $10 to get live scoring. I think it is like $30 each for a full-featured league, which includes their draft kit, the live scoring, and several other options. (that is individual cost, you can get the premium package for everyone for cheaper, you would have to look up the cost, I'm guessing it is $100-$150) I have never done that package, I always just pay the $10 per league to get the live scoring.

ESPN - My personal favorite and what I use now for my leagues in every sport. Just as many, if not more, settings options than Yahoo. ESPN is COMPLETELY FREE, live scoring, draft kit, everything. There are more commissioner options than Yahoo (these might be available if you purchase the Yahoo premium options, IDK), the message board allows for editing/formatting of posts. You can post pictures or videos or clickable links in posts or on the homepage. You can do AUCTIONS. I think the available player pool is a little deeper than Yahoo at the start of the season.

Let me know if you have any other questions, as I have used all 3 of these sites in the last several years.
