  1. Here is my situation, H2H points league and 15 teams. 3 keepers, 1 batter, 1 pitcher, and 1 rookie and you lose that round draft pick of keeper. I traded away keepers last year to win and left pretty depleted. I do not value keepers as much as most, they are nice to have but I think overvalued.
    H Ramirez (1st round)
    J Werth (3rd round)
    J Pierre (18th round)

    Rookies
    J Smoak (20th round)
    F Freeman (18th round)
    D Espinoza (18th round)

Someone talk me out of keeping Hanley and Espinoza. I am big on position scarecity and would draft Hanley 1st overall.
  2. clearly if you would draft him 1st overall there is never any reason NOT to keep him (barring injury or a disastrous season of course) as for rookie, I was high on Smoak and don't want to give up on him, Freeman may have the brightest future but may still be 2 years away.

  3. Between Freeman and Espinosa, I would think that A) Freeman probably will be better this year, B) will be better going forward, and C) will get drafted first this year (so you could still end up with both of them easier. Doubt B matters since you only keep 3 players, A is a matter of opinion, strategy, etc... but C) seems to point towards Freddy, so that's my recommendation.
  4. i finished last year so i have first pick this year, H2H league 12 teams 5 keepers.

    My keepers from last year:

    Texiera
    McCann
    Sabathia
    Ellsbury
    J. Weaver

My options for first pick 2011:

    Reyes
    Ichiro
    Hunter Pence
    Jon Lester

Who do you take? Some othe teams that finished high are LOADED! this is a non-snake draft btw
  5. Lester or Reyes, flip a coin. And while that coin is in the air, figure out whether or not you're good at picking up pitching mid/late draft.
  6. yeah im pretty good at getting pitching middle/late. my teams consistently win the pitching categories each year and its my strong point. My pitching on another team got me to the champ game alone last year. Johnson, Carpenter, Wainright, Cahill, Price and 2 stud closers..
  7. I don't like keeping Werth in the 3rd, gotta imagine there are better options

  8. to add to my previous post..the team that finished 3rd last year 10th pick in the draft offered me the 10th pick for Ellsbury. so i would now have 1,10,13...

    his keepers from last year:

Crawford, Fielder, R. Howard, Halladay, Hanley..now adding ellsbury loaded even more...

id prolly take reyes #1, ...other players to add to the previous list..werth, morneau, konerko,

  9. Hanley and Freeman. SS is bone dry this year. I like Smoak (I'm from Sea), but I don't see much more than .270/15/60 this year. Freeman may hit 30.
  10. I couldn't find any newer trade advice questions, but I'm considering Lincecum for Howard. Auction, 5x5 roto, 13 teams. I have a severe need for pitching (my ace is Trevor Cahill arguably). I have plenty of power, I missed the first 30 minutes and autobid on Pujols, Howard, Hamilton, Reynolds, Rasmus, and CarGo, leaving me no money really to mess around with afterwards

    Over the next 2 years?
