  1. Both Glenn Perkins and Scott Richmond are on the waiver wire in my league, and Im looking to snatch one, but have to drop a SP to do so - Wellemeyer is the only real candidate, but I wasn't sure if I should give up on him so soon, as he'll def get some wins with St. Louis.

Perkins' supposedly has pretty nasty stuff, but he gets no run support from the Twins. Richmond is also of to a good start, and is a 2 start pitcher this week - any thoughts?
  2. Wellemeyer is flat out HORRID

And that's coming from a die hard Cardinals fan

    drop him immediately
  3. I'd drop him for perkins, but that's just me. PM JRoth for better advice.
  4. id be pissed if i had wellemyer on any team.

    This x1,000,000,000,000.

At least last year when he was "off," he was throwing 92-95 MPH, so he could get away with missing location a little bit.

Something isn't right with his arm, as he's been topping out at like 89 MPH in some starts.

He just flat-out blows right now. If you don't feel comfortable picking up another SP right now, just drop him and wait. Use the roster spot on someone like Tommy Hanson when the Braves call him up. Or pickup a reliever like Ramon Ramirez who will lower your ERA and WHIP each week, and maybe even pickup a win.

I'm in a league where there are max. moves, too, so that's why I'm cautious about add/drops at a high rate.

Definitely get rid of Wellemeyer's terrible ass, though.
  7. Get him for Perkins and then start Perkins only at home

  8. I like Richmond here. kid's been good and his team is hot.
