As a female, my fantasy football tactic is simple:

1.) Think of a cute name for my team.
2.) Let resilient manage it for the entire season.

part of the awesomeness of fantasy sports is to bust your friends balls and make inappropriate comments about the lesser gender. Having girls in the league makes that much tougher, and allowing girls who arent even in the league to be part of the draft is just beyond absurd and criminal

My wife is very good at fantasy football.... this year, she is taking over all my leagues under $100 entry! I very much enjoy having a wife that enjoys sundays as much as I do.

Women + fantasy sports?

I would threaten to quit, but then not really quit because fantasy football is the greatest thing in my life. Finally resort to just increasing the amount of rape jokes and general misogyny. I imagine the girls would still stay in the league and just tell their friends I'm an asshole, probably ruining my chances to date any of them. I'm pretty sure it's known that about half of the league would react in this same way so I don't think any of them will be inviting girlfriends to join.

i would definatley make sure to verbally abuse the girls at the draft beyond what I should. If they could handle it and hold their own and shit talk back, then all the power to them. Isn't that what fantasy leagues are all about anyways?

So girls in the league. Sure.

But bringing g/f's, wives, even guy friends to a fantasy draft or mid year meeting.....fuck that noise. not allowed. It's time away from ppl you hang out with everyday to fucking do something different.

I'm in a league with my girlfriend's work and it sucks. The girls only repeat whatever they heard guys say at the bar that day regarding sports. They're like parrots in short shorts...fuck your "pics or gtfo." The message boards are G rated with no real shit talking because everyone is scared of making one of the chicks cry.

I only like the league with my guy friends.

it has nothing to do with being 'beat by a girl.' I'm fully aware that there are plenty of women who are knowledgeable about football and could win a fantasy league.

The point is, sometimes guys need to be guys and just around other guys. There are fewer and fewer activities that remain like that and fantasy football is quickly disappearing from that. I know this isn't the popular view in "today's America" but fuck it, sometimes some things should just remain between guys. That doesn't mean girls shouldn't play in leagues, just don't play in mine with my group of friends. That's all. I expect a lot of people feel the same way but as men become more and more pussified, I'm sure more and more will bend to the will of their gfs.
