Really bad news about Frimpong. Rumours that he might of broken his neck. Really, really hope they are just rumours.

They didn't give him either penalty. He should have has five. Sick. Didn't watch that game. Was to busy with Sunderland and Everton. I tried to fit Dempsey in my team with the WC, but anyway I swung it, I wouldve had to give up one of RVP/Aguero/Rooney, which I didn't want to do.

    Huge win for Bolton, wow.
  8. Ughhhh, I seriously thought about picking up Keane with the wildcard but I was afraid McLeish was stupid enough to sign him for a month and bring him off the bench.
  9. Do you guys find it more advantageous to make a middy your captain because their value is higher due to both points for clean sheets as well as inflated pts for goals?

I find myself having a hard time making Van Persie or Rooney a Captain when I have Bale, Dempsey, and Lampard at midfield.

No worries, at least you are in first place. Between a little bit of unlucky, and a whole lost of mistakes, I am in fifth now at this moment.

A 0 from Walters was huge this week. Kills his upward ascent in the markets, and cost me 14 points. I need a massive game from either Jones or Rooney to save my spot in the league.

Just fucking wow. Can Manchester City run any better?

A.) How does Defoe not score there? Just a few inches too short, he is.
B.) Not sure Balotelli should be on the pitch after the studs up backheel into Parker's face that may or may not have been intentional.

What an insane second half. Looks like Spurs title hopes are close to over. Down from 12/1 to 25/1 favorites. Massive turn of events there.

It all depends on statistical metrics and a little bit of feel. I'd post more, but I don't want my competitors to see where I'm getting my information from, lol

Edit: And Jones is off after 14 minutes. What in the fucking fuck. I am viscerally pissed right now. What a brittle pussy. Jaw and flu and ankle and blah blah blah blah. Would have been fantastic to have this happen a week ago, then I would have prolly traded down from him to shotton, and had the budget for Dempsey from Sinclair. Ridiculous.

I capt. Bale as well. Might get me back into the mix somewhat. Cole got two yellows. I only saw the 2nd tackle and it wasn't pretty. Didn't really catch the player but it was pretty rash.

Need RVP to stay a little quiet tomorrow. 1 goal is enough.

  13. I was gonna put Ade as captain - went for Dempsey instead - let's hope he gets me some pts toniiiight :D

I have Bale in my squad too - and Walker (which is awesome as he went off before Wigan got their goal, and was on for more than 60mins, so gets his CS bonus :D)

  14. had to use wildcard, Yakubu Jones Tiote Terry Nani Rooney were all out! was trying to save it.

However going to be a tight run league by the looks of things, the trick is to pick players before they run hot as we all know.

if you dont want to win the league put Saha in your fantasy team or the new bloke at Everton.. Toilet
  15. United showing the character of champions at Stamford Bridge tonight. A fourth would go down in history.
  16. Absurdly entertaining game. Mata with one very sick goal, and he should've won it on a set piece if not for a mind-boggling save by De Gea.

    Great game.

    Great game.

I rip on Torres soooo much, so have to give him his due. That cross was ridiculous. Best of the season, imo.

And that save by De Gea. Man, was that huge. Will give him a ton of confidence. That ball was literally as inch perfect a location as one could aim for. An astonishing save, it was.
  18. Brad Friedel, at 40 years old still one of the top 3 keepers in the EPL. He was quality again last night. Has he retired from international football?
  19. no doubting he is a good keeper, but how have you put him in the top 3 and along side who may i ask?
  20. Count me in as a new premier league fan. My brother has been living with me the past few months and he is an aspiring pro and had to have his soccer channels so I said okay and added them. Wouldn't you know it I now watch like 4 games a week. It really is mind bottling how soccer gets so little love in the states it is exciting as shit. I will go as far to say that after the NBA which obviously destroys all other leagues it's probably tied with the NFL and MLB for me.

No doubt it was a great game but I hate seeing the comeback from two PKs seems like it cheapens it a bit (I know there is no perfect system but the penalty does not fit the crime for the vast majority of PKs and these two were no exception).

Definitely a great game though. Sucks because I live on Chelsea Lane so I have chosen them as my team and my brother hates them so all the trash talking I did at 3-0 made a U-turn right back at me lol

I'd only put Hart and Reina ahead of him. Given and Cech are close, but Cech has never been the same since he got his skull cracked. I'm a United fan and he has thwarted us time and time again over the years, and at 40years old, he's still doing it week in - week out. Krul looks like he is gonna become a hell of a keeper too, but not up there yet.

    Welcome.

On keepers, its hard to look past Hart and Reiner. Im pretty sure Hart is better but I seem to have a small man-crush on Reina which makes me wanna put him top. Friedel is as gooda shout as any for 3rd but im pretty sure he shares that podium spot with a few others.
  25. Reina isnt not having a good season, his shot stopping is good however he flatters to deceive behind a very good back 4.

szczesny, Hart, Reina, Top 3 ( no particular order) although i think right now Hart.

Vorm, Krul, are having great seasons and tbh so is al habsi at Wigan

Team of the season so far.

    Hart

    Richards
    Skrtel
    Kompany
    Vermaelen

    Bale
    Silva
    Cabaye
    Nani

    RVP
    Ba

Phil Jones, Koncielny, Oxlade Chamberlain, Krul, aguero honourable mentions and also players like Morison at Norwich and Ryan Taylor

    Maybe ive over looked some

Yeah. I was joking when i said the Szczesny bit but i dont think he is that far off.

This season i think Hart is on another level. Then i think you could argue between quite a few different keepers for the next spots. Reina, Friedel, Szcez, Worm, Krul, Al Habsi and then maaaaaybe Lindegard (sp?) if he had played a few more games. Then i think you have the likes of Howard, Given, Hennesey, Foster and then down in about 48th spot (behind keepers that havent even played) you have De Gea

  27. I think that's harsh. I've not got any major complaints with De Gea. He's 20 yrs old in a new country, new culture and doesn't speak the language so can't be easy. I wish SAF would stick with him. Let him make his mistakes and learn from them. He needs to fill out a bit too, he's only a boy.

Agree those you listed are having good seasons, but Friedel has done it for years now.
  28. definitely friedel. think he has been a bit underrated over the past few seasons. so solid.

Ha yeah maybe a bit harsh. But why pay that much money for a keeper that isnt ready? there is 7 months between him and Szcezny. I would say thart Szcez is a long way ahead of him right now. De Gea could turn out to be great, but i really havent seen much from him that makes me feel that confident about it.
  29. yeah, definitely underrated .

Yeah i agree - if you're gonna pay that much for a keeper, you gotta play him. I think the Lindegaard - not come here to pick my nose- comment impressed SAF and put him in two minds cause lindegaard was having some good games.

Wenger finally made the decision to stick with Szcezny (after fcking about with almunia for far too long) and its paying off now cause he's good and getting better. I agree Scezny is ahead of De Gea, but keepers mature much later than other players anyway. Very few get into big teams at that age.
  30. Wow, Capello has quit as England boss. Fair play to him. The FA completely undermined him by removing Terry as captain. Bye bye Redknapp i guess
