  10. smh, most retarded thing i've read all week
  11. Maybe he meant Jesus Christ < Mao
  12. That would be a good point, Jesus Christ was well known for advocating violence.

  15. 2nd awful thread title

I don't want to start a thread so I'll leave this here

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia , meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be alright, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is cancelled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level.

    Regards,
    John

And as a final thought - Greece is collapsing, the Iranians are getting aggressive, and Rome is in disarray. Welcome back to 430 BC.

  16. John Cleese is so awesome.

Jimmy Carter worse than Mao? He's probably the most decent person to achieve president in my lifetime. Shitty policy maker but he seemed like a really high integrity type to me.
  17. Jimmy Carter was the only honest politician in our lifetimes. Hate him or love him he actually tells the truth...to a fault. Jimmy Carter is also the first Evangelical Christian President.

  19. How does your opinion regarding him being a worthless piece of shit counter assertions of his honesty? You may not like him, or what he stands for, but he is honest. Even Dick Cheney, a man who's honesty only norcaljeff can admire, will admit as much.
  20. Delusional republitards itt
  21. Honest?? Lol you're joking, right? Ever seen the nonsense he spouts about israel? Seen his book re palestine/apatheid? Lol honest. Holy shit

Unless you're just saying he believes his bullshit. Not the same as honesty imo

And Clinton used Executive Privilege 14 times, so whats your point? That Republican's use it more than Dems? If so, you're mistaken.

  26. 71% sure there's a "Jimmy C" in one of the big gangster movies. If not, there should be

Knew a "Mr C" that owned a casino in Reno once, but doubt his name was a J as he's Greek, but I'm no linguist

I guess i just don't know what an evangelical is and how that makes them different from other Christians.

I'll have to look into what NCJeff is talking about because he's shattering my illusions. It's quite possible he really believes what he says because I've always known him to have integrity. He may be crazy though, not arguing that.
  28. I will give you this, JC does seem a bit biased in favor of Palestine. Damned Christians. Can't trust 'em.
  29. Back to threads topic........wide receiver was carried out under Bush. Some very big differences, they put tracking devices in the guns and actually had a plan to entrap the bad guys (drug cartel). They did make numerous arrests but when the bad guys figured out the tracking devices and removed them from the guns they shut the program down. Oh and they also did it with the cooperation of the Mexican gov.

They "doubled down" on the fast and furious with many more weapons, no tracking devices, no plan to track them and actually obstructed border agents to allow the guns to go thru. They also failed to let the Mexican gov. In on there little plan. We obviously know the results hundreds dead by the hand of these monsters provided by the good old USA.

The bush plan was bad......Obama's plan was much worse (knowing the first failed miserably).

Jimmy Carter was in fact an honorable man but a horrible president. There is a saying that it takes a Carter to get a Reagan. I understand that Romney is no Reagan but he beats the he'll out of 4 more years with the clown suit.

Link to factually disproving anything JC wrote in that book?

Just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it not true.

Edit: FTR I think Carter was a shitty president
