Tell me if this is borderline creepy or totally normal-

So I was recently at a wedding Rehersal for my brother-in-law. Anyways I was sitting down listening to the wedding planner talk about our responsibilities, when I looked up and saw the brides dad like give her a quick side bootie (like Outside thigh) rub (think like ruffling a Childs hair) and give her a quick smack on the bum. It just seemed strange to me, by I think it is because the family is super socially conservative, and he is insanely protective of her.
I don't know, I mean they were both standing in the middle of the crowd and all so they mus have thought it was totally normal, and it might be, but I wasn't sure. Granted I don't even have sisters so I wouldn't know.
I know, cool story, but is this weird or is that just me?

It seems weird on the surface, but no matter how big your kids get, they will always be your babies. I have two young boys. If I happen to catch one putting on his clothes on with his booty in the clear for a good smack, he's gonna get one, and we will all laugh our asses off.
Doubt I'll be doing that when they grow up, but we haven't gotten there yet. -

Meh, as long as the bride didn't freak out I don't see the big deal. I can't say that I've ever rubbed my daughter's butt before or whatever the fuck you said he did, but I've given her a pat on the bottom before usually to try and get her to start moving.
