I'm not up enough on whose in what decades.
I'd go
70's: Zepplin
80's: um I hate the 80s stuff so I have no idea
90's: House of Pain...Jump Around will live forever. Last Half of the 90's I'll take Jay-Z. In My Lifetime Vol. 1 is some seriously great stuff.
00's: I guess I'd go with 50 Cent...at least I like most of his music. Eminem is good too. Most of my favorites (D-Block, Memphis Bleek, Beanie Siegel, Freeway, the Roots etc.) wouldn't qualify as great or anything like that.
Outside of Zepplin and some other stuff like Billy Joel my music taste can be criticized heavily, I know. -
Ugh, how are people putting bands like Green Day and Korn in the 00's, when their best stuff came out in the 90s. Guess people just go with when they went pop.
-
60's The Beatles ( Rubber Soul Onwards)
70's Pink Floyd
80's The Stone Roses
90's Radiohead or Orbital
00' The Doves or Bloc party -
