I know he isn't the best qb in the league or anything like that, but he is certainly in the top half still, and gives the vikings the best chance to win. I think it was said before, but defenses will be forced to respect the longball, and won't be able to stack the box. But if they focus too much on Favre, Peterson runs all over them. Would be an excellent QB/RB combo.

LOL at being top half. 12 Tds. 30 ints last four years after thanksgiving. only brought us out of the second round of the playoffs once in the past ten years. Guy is real good alright.

And if by the shit, you mean the player who was on the worst teammates ever, the guy who acted like a little bitch last year, the guy who now hates the packers so much that he wants to go to to their arch rival? yeah really cool guy

O FK yeah. This is the exact thing i'm talking about! I really hope he signs just to watch guys like you cry all year. And yes, he is in the top half. Name 16 better QBs. I bet 2 years ago, you wouldn't even mention how many times he's gotten u past the whatever round of the playoffs. Ur just bitter. Get over it. And you don't even seem to like the guy the way you talk. And you think he's a bad QB too. You should want him in Minny.

uh 3 years ago i was praying that he would retire. In terms of talent he is up there. In terms of who would be better for the team?

Romo, Manning, McNabb, Warner, Hasselback, Bulger, Cutler, Rodgers, Ryan, Brees, Garrard, Manning, Schaub, Big Ben, Palmer, Flacco, Brady, Rivers, Pennington.

After reading that list, it has become clear that you are simply delusional. I'm not even remotely a packer fan or a Favre fan, but just wow at your list.

if anyone is delusional its you. In the past four years, NO quarterback has come close to being as bad as Favre at the end of the year. He even beats out tony romo. Last year he once again led the Nfl in interceptions. Big game last year against Miami? what happened. 3 ints 1 TD. actually last three games last year 2 Tds 8 ints. Yet you think this guy is good? L O L

You're absolutely right. End of the year play in a small number of years is the sole determiner of how good someone is. Also, how the rest of their team plays is irrelevant. Guys like Joe Flacco (who is a good young QB imo) who put up negligable statistical numbers, but have the best defense in the league, surely are better than favre. How many games do the jets win with Flacco last year? Just one example. Go book and look at the statistics for last year. You're ignorant. Done arguing with you tho, as you're clearly just upset about the whole favre unretirement ordeal and can't see clearly. GL getting over it and not crying every sunday.

  2. Favre has turned into a cartoon of himself. What a sad ending to an otherwise remarkable career.

gl to him and the Vikings.

Im from Wisconsin as well... and hate the packers... (Go Lions!) Agree with all of this... Favre will basically destroy what G.B. Legacy has left, and possibly be turned into an outcast among packer fans....

For one thing I already said that he is way up there talent wise. The list I mentioned talked of players who I would rather have on my team than Favre because of intangibles such as not being a huge chock artist. You really think you can be considered a good QB if you dominate the first 12 weeks but then after that you become he worst qb in the league? that makes you good? Secondy, Flacco had meh receivers. Thirdly, Flacco could have easily won 9 games for the jets last year? are you kidding me? they got to play Seattle, SF, Buffalo twice, Denver, St. Louis, Kansas City, Oakland, Cincy, San Diego. They also played Arizona before they got crazy hot and they played Miami twice who was fairly good but nothing amazing. You seriously dont think that Flacco, one of the best young Qbs in the league couldnt have won 9? L O L
  5. Meh, maybe I'm alone in my thinking, but I really don't see the big deal with not going out on top. Some people just don't want to ride into the sunset, and I'm cool with that.

If he still thinks he has what it takes to compete, and a team is willing to think the same, then I don't mind if he plays. It's his life. I don't fault him for wanting to take a few more snaps in front of millions of people every weekend instead of hanging out on a farm somewhere.

his motivation though does not appear to be because he loves the game and will miss it so very much. it seems that his motivation is to hurt the packers at all costs.
  8. Not this shit again.

    MODS please delete this thread.
  9. looool. fuck brett favre.

oh and QBs that are better than Favre (at this point):

Brady, P. Manning, Brees, Roethlisberger, Cutler, E. Manning, Romo, Warner, McNabb, Rivers, Ryan, Pennington, Rodgers, Schaub, Collins. there you go 15 QBs. I would not want this douche if you paid me to take him on
  10. God i hate you Favre

I think the Bears should talk to him so that Cutler can get his panties in a bunch again
  11. As a Vikings fan,...Favre > than the options we have right now. Sure T-Jack/Sage

can manage games and with a good Defense and AP we would probably win the

division again, Favre could manage the game just as well plus make the 4 or 5 big

pass plays that T-Jack couldn't give us last year (see vikings vs eagles playoff

game). The main problem I see with Favre the last few years of his career is being

asked to do so much it wore him down as the season went on. The vikings do not

    need as much from him.

If they sign him and he can stay healthy (is healthy) I see a Huge year for the purple

    faithfull.

  12. PM Eric Mangini to see how he feels about Favre

Of all these better then Favre lists, I don't see Sage or Tjack. I think that sums up he is an upgrade at the position. Why the Vikings didnt make a play for Cutler confuses me, but it is certain that Favre is an upgrade from what we have in a weak qb position. 2% of our salary room is going to the qb(all three of them), the most important position in football. That sums up the lack of talent in the position. Would I prefer Manning or Brady, obv. That isnt a choice, its the guy who cant mak a decision, the guy who started 3 games in his career, or the old gun slinger.
  14. Favre having more talent than Sage or T-Jack doesn't make him a better fit. Favre's decision making at this point is a joke given his talent level.

Favre is tougher in his older years than any qb still in the league. Minn has a good o-line. Health won't be an issue. To all of you Favre haters gfys. Also, Favre is not trying to get revenge on the packers. That is just retarded to even think about.

  16. Say it with me now FFFUCCCK BREETTTTT FAVRREEEE
  17. It's not a matter of going out on top or even whether he can still play. It is all the uneccessary drama surrounding his departure from Green Bay, his retiring and unretiring and generally his public indecision. It hurts his image and marketability and makes him look silly even if he can still play. I wish him the best but I still feel kind of bad for him as he grasps for a team that needs a second tier quarterback.
  18. i really believe he is trying to be assassinated
  19. Meh, Favre is nothing but an attention whore. He is tired of only having his cows giving him attention, so he wants to be the whore that he is and come back.

    No respect for that POS

ZOMG, he's TOUGHER than any QB in the league!

who gives a fuck? he can't make decisions worth a damn anymore
  21. Brett Favre says that he will never play again, but then he says he might come back.

I mean, I'm really getting tired of this. Every year its the same story. But I'm not the only person (obviously) who is tired of this. Let's go and ask some celebrities their opinions on Brett Favre's return.

First, let's talk to local Chicago sports hero, Al Bundy. Mr. Bundy, at age 39, Brett Favre is thinking about making another comeback. And chances are if he does come back, he'll probably be making $6-$10 million for the year. Any thoughts?

OK, we understand that reaction. You did score 4 touchdowns in a single high school football game and you currently work at a shoe store - so maybe we should ask some real celebrities. Let's see if we can find Samuel Jackson. He's hosted the ESPY's, so I'm sure he has an opinion on this subject.

Mr. Jackson? Mr. Jackson? Or can I call you Sam?

OK - sorry to disturb you. Maybe later.

Let's talk to Prince then. He's a Minnesota native. There's talk that Brett might come back to the Vikings.

So Prince, what do you think about Brett Favre coming back to join the Vikings. Does this make them automatic Super Bowl contenders?

Well this isn't going well. And we have so many other celebrities and sports stars still to talk to.

Jerry Seinfeld - NY native, what's your opinion on Favre retiring from the Jets only to come back to another team.

You know Jerry, I get the impression that the Jets fans really didn't care about this. I mean, now the Jets have Mark Sanchez, and he has the potential to be the greatest quarterback ever.

Well, sorry you disagree with me Chipper, but you're a baseball player. Let's ask another NY native on having Mark Sanchez over Brett Favre. Mr Bickle - do you approve of this development?

OK - we've got a mixed bag of responses from the NY people. But I think we need to ask some people from the Green Bay area. So Packers fans - any messages for Brett Favre if he returns to Minnesota?

OK. OK. We get it Green Bay fans. And well, I kinda agree with you.

We've got time for one more response. So let's finish this with one of the greatest actors and directors of all time, Clint Eastwood.

Mr. Eastwood. How do you feel about Brett Favre's potential return, along with the countless stories that I'm sure we'll be seeing and hearing during every sports program for the next few months.

Ummm. OK - I guess that does it then.

Just one more gif, but I think this will pretty much sum up most people's opinion on Brett Favre's return.

  22. I think ESPN is just actively trying to piss us off. there is no possible reason for leading with Brett Favre when the Lakers and Celts are playing tonight, not to mention Sid vs. Ovie. Go kill yourselves, ESPN

The one day i get to work in front of a TV and this was on non-stop. I hate Favre more than any other athlete in my life time.
  24. haha in that ESPN poll, 60% of responders have said they want him to be fishing next season, not playing in the NFL or commenting. i wonder how they'll report that one lol.

favre has gone from someone I always thought was overrated to someone I just actively despise.

Retarded to think about? Is that why last season he admitted that "he was motivated to play in 2008 largely because of his resentment toward Packers general manager Ted Thompson."

  26. Pretty sure motivation and revenge aren't the same thing. Thanks.
