There is SOME criminal element. Its small but it is there. What I mean by this is, if someone that works at the dispensary has a friend that either grows a lot or sells a lot outside of the dispensary (illegally) he would buy or sell them weed to make a profit. Stuff like that. But theres not people coming in there with guns standing around money having showdowns and robberies be real people.

Oakland was right in the middle of everything back in April when the feds raided oaksterdam, a marijuana college pretty much, which also operated as a dispensary and tourist attraction for the city.

I remember right after this happened the city of oakland complained to the government about them shutting oaksterdam down because it directly affected their tax revenue. I think oaksterdam paid the city some crazy high tax rate which over a yr would cost them about a million dollars and oakland was broke to start with. So they were complaining to the feds that by shutting down the dispensary their pushing the city more and more in debt.

Theres also plenty of companies like pharmasphere all over CA with MONSTER warehouses set up for MONSTER commercial grows where all they have to do is flip the switch and turn on the lights when it goes legal.

IMO whats going on right now in LA and also in Oakland and everywhere else in California right now, is the same thing thats going on with online poker and the US govt.

The govt is coming in and shutting down everything that is already in place and taking over everything. Regulating and then controlling the markets. All of the dispensaries will be back and eventually we will get full legalization everywhere IMO

I didn't misrepresent anything. Instead I clarified what you said so people wouldn't think that dispenaries increased crime in the area. Besides, how does one misrepresent a direct quote?

just because there is luck involved does not mean it's a game of luck. under your definition, a golf tournament is gambling, as luck is involved to go along with the skill of each player. poker has been proven in many courts to be a game of skill.

old people dieing and younger people who have smoked once or twice and may not do it again but aren't tainted by gov't propaganda are gettting elected into office. an acquaintance of mine is running for a missouri state house of representatives seat. he's a pro life conservative but on marijuana he's shrugs and says when it gets the majority in missouri he'd support it as long as it was properly regulated akin to alcohol.


most know its only a matter of time, i mean sure if we got people motivated we could prolly have it legalized at the federal level and most states in 4-6 years. but people don't get motivated about anything to do with the gov't. out of control spending? slight up tick. fed inflating the monetary supply? huh whats the federal reserve? continued nation building? meh who cares?

maybe 10%(super high estimate prolly) really give a crap and stay informed. the rest vary from dun give a shit to meh i go and punch the holes on election day to yea i read a bit about what was going to be on the ballot last night.

When are people gonna wake up and realize the harms of Marijuana? I remember reading about some genius that went to Cornell who found weed and marijuana at school and within 2 years he was locked up in a mental institution.
