  4. be sure to check type of plane and MAKE SURE there are tv's on the seatbacks...this is a must!!!!
  5. I would use http://www.qantas.com . They might be your best shot, but search around. I might be headed to Perth in a few months via Malaysia...

    Why such a long stay?

  8. sick.
  9. check V (Virgin) Austraila, United and Delta. They are all competing for business on LA-Aussie route with Qantas.

Also, Qantas has an A380 big boy on the LAX-SYD route if your baller enough.

  10. I flew to Australia on Air Pacific - the Fijian airline. You get a free lay over in Fiji for up to 2 weeks. So I say that one or any airline that gives you a free layover. I 've heard of Hawaii and New Zealand also. Prob many others.

  11. ive done that flight many times over the last year (from NY) on the following airlines:

    - Qantas
    - American Airlines (through Qantas)
    - Cathay Pacific (stopover in Hong Kong)

    - Singapore Airlines (stopover in Singapore)

I would rate Singapore/Cathay/Qantas equal first (slight advantage to Singapore), with AA a distant, distant, distant last.

I wouldn't fly Delta to Perth either, US airlines on long haul flights are atrocious compared to the abovementioned airlines.

I'm from there - hopefully you dont stay in the city and your friends resort is near the coast - its a nice place to live but its borrrrring
