Floyd Mayweather Jr. has officially been charged with felony counts of coercion, robbery, grand larceny and four misdemeanors related to the alleged domestic incident involving Josie Harris.
Keeping the family tradition strong...You go Jr.!! -
Meh. When celebrities are charged with felonies, don't the charges all get watered down/thrown out/treated more like jay-walking when it's all said and done?

Edited By: ltquick Sep 17th, 2010 at 03:05 AMYeah, I remember that. And Corrales said he was going to dedicate his win vs. Mayweather to all the fathers around the world (this was around the time when Floyd Sr. and Jrs' beef had first started).Originally Posted by ibarrio

The funny thing is that Floyd dedicated his KO win over Corrales to battered women.
Tyson and Corrales both came back and won titles after being incarcerated. One could argue that Chico accomplished more after getting out of prison by unifying the lightweight titles by beating Casamayor, Freitas and Castillo in consecutive fights. The four guys I listed had their legal troubles essentially end their respective careers as unbelievabley talented elite fighters (and his life in Valero's case). If Mayweather goes away for a long time, he might be listed along with the latter group.
I guess maybe Esteban De Jesus and Ricardo Williams, Jr. could be added to that list though Williams was probably never going to become the great professional fighter as most people thought even without the prison sentence.
