  1. So my girl and the kids ran to Mc D's for some food... On the way to Mc d's we had 3 cops pass going the other way in less then 5 miles. On the way home we got behind a 1 ton flat bed truck. This truck never went over 35 mph (speed limit 45) and was all over the road. We safely made it home and while eating my big mac, i've been thinking about it the whole time.

What should I of done? Should I of called the cops? As this person could kill someone? What would you do? This truck was swerving across the yellow line so bad, that my girl wouldn't even let me pass him up.

    What's your play here?

  2. use a different road and the cops will find him if hes driving that badly
  3. 100% call the cops. you have kids in your car, maybe so does the guy in FRONT of this menace. no remorse here, "how is my driving? dial 911!"

Not really an option.. where i live we only have 2 main roads.. one on each side of the bayou both going north/south... so we sorta had to be on that road cause some bridges are under repair.. yea they are still fixing stuff from hurricane katrina

  5. lots of people are gonna be like; oh don't call the cops and ruin someone's live.

imo 100% call the cops if you are really sure this guy is drunk. I'd rather this guy get locked up for the night than later find out this truck ran into a station wagon and killed a family of four or something fucked up-cause drunks never do that, right?
  6. Call the cops and say "hey, it may be nothing, but this guy seems drunk, etc." You would really feel shitty if you wake up the next morning and he did end up hurting/killing some innocent person and you didn't even try. Not that it would really be your fault or anything, but your bound to think of the "what ifs" if you don't at least try.
  7. My Move is probably the opposite of his or her move
  8. this is really a no brainer to me. of course you should call 911 and report it.
  9. FWIW I have called the cops plenty of times on drunk drivers
  10. You have to be pretty damn drunk to not be able to keep the car straight on the road. This guy could easily kill someone. Obv call the cops.
  11. I'm biased on this because a drunk driver caused me to be in the shape I'm in so I would definitely call. He might not like the punishment but you could save his life and others too, plus he might be having an attack of some kind and not be drunk at all so you could save his life that way too.
  12. dont call the cops, cops are pieces of shit.

  14. be a responsible citizen and do the right thing...

ram him to the side of the road and hold him under citizens arrest until the cops show up, slap him up a bit while you wait.
  15. F tha cops... just get him to pull over, knock his ass out, and you've done everyone a favor including him.
  16. ive always thought about doing this just never have when i see some1 who is obv drunk swerving everwhere.

i think you are doing a good thing if you do call the cops. me my mom and my cousin were driving home from soccer when i was in 3rd grade, 8yrs old (1989)...a drunk driver tboned us blowing a red light. no1 was in the front passenger seat wich was crammed all the way under the dash thank god or they'd be history. My cuz broke his neck, my moms been a parapalegic(cant move below the waste) ever since. i got a concussion i guess, but nothing serious i dont remember any of it just waking up on the street crying and shit. crazy situation.

    drunk driving is bad imo.
  17. follow where hes going and murder him. you gotta gun right?
  18. I actually called the cops on a drunk driver last night. They were driving 20 mph in a 35 swerving all over. I have probably done it about 5 times since I am always out late and who knows if I don't report them that night if they could kill me another night.

    Only idiots drive drunk. IMO

it was only a matter of time before this came out.

    KAJUN:
was it possible for you to pull up next to him and be like "HEY KAJUN SENDS, PULL OVER!!!!!" just curious
  20. 100% call the cops. you might save his/others' lives. and a DUI >>>>> vehicular manslaughter.
  21. The flat bed truck could also be tired. What does flat bed truck mean? Is he driving long distance? Is he on crack? drunk? sleep deprived? combination?

Either way, i think its a call. I have been driving around and notice drunk drivers and stay away from them but now that you bring this up, i probably will follow and call. Its a tough situation to judge for a number of reasons. But to be safe and practically what nadatell said, you should most definately call. Keep in mind if you call, you have to wait and stop with the cop and see it thru. If your wrong, your wrong.

If the driver killed someone and you had a shot to stop them, the guilt you would have would be huge. So if you cant find a reason to call, think of that one. but in the fly of the moment, your in a rush, you gotta do something..you dont call...

Its not a flaw on your character. Just know that you have thought about it now,and the next time you see this situation, you will remember this thread and realize what you should do next time.

Any cops out there want to let us know what they think and what is the procedure you guys do when this does happen? Im sure it has happened to someone or is in a manual or sumpin. Im curious.. We should not confront and try to stop the vehicle ourselves right?

    what up OT

  22. I would imagine police have to find the car, then witness this act themselves before making a stop, but idk really.
  23. It was a 1 ton truck with a flat bed, instead of a regular bed. Like for hauling stuff for the oil field. My girl called the cops while we were behind him and gave the license plate number. He was from texas. No idea if they found him or not as a line of cars were behind us once we got to our street we turned off and let him continue on his way.

This guy was all over the road, doing 25-35 in a 45 mph zone, speed up/slowdown etc..etc def drunk

Hope he pulled over or got caught before something bad happened...

Standard that on the way we saw 3 cops in 5 miles but the way home doing 25-35 we didn't see any... FTR, we did 50 the whole way there so it's like < 10 min drive...

OBV, I don't want to get someone in trouble since La new law is mandatory 1 year with the breathing machine thingie in your vehicle, plus some other crap, La is now one of the toughest in the nation on drunk drivers.

I have been really lucky in my life, plenty of nights I drove home well above the limit and even got pulled several times when I woulda been trouble. Took and passed atleast 3 field sobriety test... Even had 1 cop follow me home cause he knew my family and stuff.. how things have changed...

    Kajun $endz

P.S. thanks for letting me I/We did the right thing, I felt like such a rat.. but deep down knew it was the best thing to do... might teach him a lesson and save his life or others in the future..

  26. Call the police so he doesn't hurt anyone.

Stay behind him or fly by him when it's super safe so he doesn't hit you.
  27. MAKE the call, done it several times myself.
  28. kajun pwn$.
great thought on the pull over, beat the shit option - if you want to save him grief on cops/law.

    *side note;
the hate people have for cops, can over ride the need for some douchetard killing someone in an impaired driving circumstance?

wow...brilliant...you know what would be cool, is removing all the people from Australie, and making it a free 'fuck the cops' nation. Everyone that was lacking the ability to see logic, could move there, and survive in lawless ordermaganized anarachy...great idea...travel to be arranged by EinsteinAirways.com - "where the theory or relativity takes you places your brown star has never seen"
  29. Maybe he is just driving like that because he is getting a bj. At least wait until he is finished and tips the girl before you rat him out.
  30. 100% u did the right thing you would hate to see him hurt someone or even kill himself

one a side note this same thing just happened to one of my best buddies recently and it was one of the best things to happen to him he quit all booze and drugs and hasnt been happier for 10 years. Aside from the 10k for lawyer 1 yr wiothout his license then the ridic insurance he'll pay for the next ten yrs (canada blows for that shit)
