nebraska would crush WV tho

No such thing as a lock, and I don't bet a ton of games (especially favs). But I've only layed double digits in football twice this year. Iowa -17 over LA-Monroe <<early season homer play, and LSU -11 over Arkansas. This Saturday will be the 3rd time. On the surface, it looks like Georgia had a nice season, and I guess they did in a way. They beat a couple OK teams, (10-2) ranked #12, 10 W's in a row etc. But they played about the softest SEC schedule possible.
Don't feel like rambling and I'm sure most of what I could say about this game is already ITT. But these 2 teams are not even on the same planet. LSU has shown up to play every game this year IMO and even though they will prob play for title even if they lost, I'm not worried about them looking ahead. They have over a month to prepare for Bama after Saturday and I don't think they'd be content to "back in" to the title game.
Anything could happen and I love the underdog and all that but I think this one gets REALLY ugly. Outclassed is the word that comes to mind. Good for you if you got on it early. But if you want to bet LSU, I'd do it pronto cuz I think the late action could move the line to 16, don't think it'd go all the way to 17 but who knows? Not thrilled with game being at the Georgia Dome or the fact that LSU is gonna be a big public play. But I just don't think it matters this Saturday. 37-13 LSU -

The line should definitely be closer to upper 3 scores. I don't know why the books wouldn't hammer people for wanting to play LSU moneyline. I don't see any line less than 24.5 that wouldn't have the public steamrolling every kid on a trike to put their ML and spread bets on LSU.
The lines this year have been so strange. So many favorite lines have looked too good to be true, but have covered easily. I have to admit, after thinking about it a score like 20-10 could definitely happen. -
Orson Charles plays TE for UGA and is one of three finalists for the John Mackey Award (Nations Top Tight End) as a junior. You really gonna make such quotes without researching? Georgia's Offensive line is pretty good as well (biggest O-Line in all of football, any level).

I just mean how they are ALWAYS ranked in the top 25 and in the top 10 until they have 2 losses. I mean theyre 9-3 this year and never even really came close to not being ranked, and they are beyond awful.
-
Tradition, maybe, but who would you rank ahead of them right now? Seems to me they are about in the right place. Maybe you could put Clemson or WV ahead of them, but certainly not Penn St. or S. Miss. and probably not Texas or Cincinnati. I could make an argument that they should be ranked a couple notches higher or lower, but even if they were in another similar spot that wouldn't make them underrated or overrated. You can't seriously believe they should not be in the bottom of the top 25.

I thought only Nebraska fans believed their team to be awful if they lose 3 games. Welcome to the club, but remember awful is relative to the either our expectations or other teams. When I call them awful it is relative to my expectations, not every other program. Not being in the top 5 at the end of the season qualifies as awful for me. So may be we can agree that they are awful this year, but they still belong at the bottom of the top 25.
This year they were in the top 10 until week 11, the week they lost to Northwestern, then they dropped to 19 with 6 other 2 loss teams ahead of them. Then they lost to Michigan and dropped into the 20's. Seems pretty standard. -

i guess next youll tell me your kicker is great too, right? isnt he pre-seaon all-america? hahaaa
and i know about your motorgrader o-line. are you really saying they are better than BAMAs unit? ive been very fair to the dogs in here. but listen sonny, if you want to call my opinion out im here...... -
Good thing you aren't a GM in the NFL, your safety and wellbeing would be compromised. As for the kicker, he WAS one of the best coming back this year. Just look at his stats. But, he hit a wall this year and has had heaps of trouble. Kicking the ball is obviously as much mental as it is physical and he is fighting it really bad this year. I will say that if and when he gets his swing back, he'll be kicking on Sundays. But for now, he doesn't belong in the conversation with top K's in America.

this as close as a GATOR can come to complimenting your team. yeah i watched, grats gg! that 13.5 line vs. AU shocked me. i was all over it but the dogs put a beatdown on them that was nasty. as stated, it shocked me. what do i know. i could be a brawl to the end.
but as far as asking opposing players who has the better team.....do your polling in gainesville. -
Dont count UGA out. To cover that is. They have no shot to win imo but I believe they can make this a game. The UGA defense vs SEC teams is only allowing 47 yards rushing per game. Take away the 253 that USC gained early in the year and that average falls to 17 yards per game. Thats just nasty. UGA can also get after the passer. They are second in the SEC with 32 sacks only trailing LSU who has 33. We all know how good the LSU defense is so no reason to discuss them.....we know what they can do. Murray will be the best QB LSU has seen all year and if the UGA offensive line can give him some time (theyve struggled giving up 25 sacks on the season) UGA will find success. Crowell has matured a ton in the last few games and is figuring out how to run north and south in the SEC.
Tough to go against LSU but I really like the under. I think points will be tough to come by for both teams and this could turn into a sloppy defensive struggle. It opened at 10 and sits at 13.5. I will lay off unless I can get 15. But I will take the under 46. LSU 24 UGA 10 -
A couple pro picks I took
Cowboys -4.5
Packers and Giants Over 52
Packers -7.5 -
such lies you laid double digits vs me for 100 bucks in hammond :)

LSU - 10th
Ohio St - 50th
Georgia - 52nd
Go ahead and throw out all those irrelevant stats you just listed. Georgia's schedule is a huge pile of shit for being in the SEC. 2nd worst SOS in the SEC, Arkansas the worst. They played well for the first 5 mins. Than reality sets in and LSU just wears down opponents like I never seen before. Im incredibly confident this is a 3 td game if not more. -
Georgia got the shit beat out of them up and down the field against Boise in the GA dome. i really dont think another point needs to be made.

If you are using a game in week 1 to justify a pick in week 13, I would love to be your bookie. Pretty sure a stat like rushing yards allowed is not irrelevant. Much more relevant then strength of schedule when comparing two teams from the same conference.Originally Posted by Sweetness777

I'm fully aware of what LSU is capable of. I've seen them in person 3 times this year and was field level for the ass whipping they laid on Arkansas. They're an amazing team. One of, it not, the best I've ever seen. Defense is lights out. Oline is nasty. Running backs backs punish you. Special teams are special etc etc. The size + strength + speed + depth of that defensive line is hard to believe. I just see this game going more the way of the LSU/Miss State game then I see it going the way of say LSU vs everyone else not named Alabama. -
lol Fresno St. Sorry, forgot about that one.

LSU -13

SOUTHERN MISS o72
OAK RAIDERS +3
JETS -3
NO SAINTS-9 -
Tough game to pick, I only had the under in the mac game. Some good games tonight but i really don't like many of the lines.
-
for some reason that Okie St line is juicy to me.. A couple weeks off to prepare to get away from the letdown game.. Still have the same sick offense, obv Okie is reeling.. Lastly, I mean Okie St has to want this so freaking bad.. lost about 7 times in a row if not more to Okie, BCS bowl on the line and an outside shot at the ship. I really like a 10 pnt win here.

Looks like a lot of dogs fit your system early today?
