holy shit that was funny. The comedic timing with the pauses was cool for one of these.
hope it doesn't cause a shitstorm thread, it was funny.

That's right, I'm here for the "serious" debate. Haven't seen vid yet, but sure it's funny. In a misinformed dinosaur sort of way.
Or scroll to bottom of the page to rehash some goot times. -
So you are saying that because December temperatures are lower, but overall average temperatures are rising, that the earth is cooling?

Funny stuff. I think we pay 8 cents per litre for a carbon tax, but not sure what that accomplishes.
-
lol noooo. Didnt even read the link, just pointing out the ongoing debate can just continue there with a bump. ;)

just watch the videa bra, and try to be open minded -
^^^^
From a comedic perspective, I give it credit. If I was a denier, it would have been funny. The "points" it made were pretty easily (and already done repetitively in OT) refuted -
So since humans are the cause of global warming since the 70's, if it werent for us, what would the temperature graph look like? You guys think it would be flat? Or declining? Why are temperature increases since the 70's rising at the same rate as they were before human induced climate change?... say from the period in the early 20th century. Do you think that since climate change, hot periods and ice ages are inevitable regardless of what we do (unless of course you think we should take control of the earths temperature by pumping co2 into the air when facing a coming ice age), that we should just try and be prepared for any changes rather than trying to control them since at some point, humans will have to face them anyway?

Just some questions for ya'll non-skeptics. -
Whichever of those 3 it would be, the effect would not be such a dramatic change as what we have. With what we have now, we are seeing ridiculous changes in the prices of cotton and wheat. But you don't...eat or wear clothes, do you?
-
I posted this in the last thread in direct response to you, and then i described it many many times. For some reason you seem to have forgotten it.

That's what happens if you go to zero emissions in the year 2000 (or the top line is holding 2000 emission levels constant -- which is actually quite a huge reduction in future emissions to keep that level). -
Since one of your arguments is that emission reduction would destroy the economy, then wouldn't you want to create emissions to avoid an ice-age if that ice age would destroy the economy?

so if we goto zero emissions is stays constant? as if to imply that emissions are the only thing that influence the change in temperature? really?

ah fuck this. im not rehashing this topic again so soon. this is my last post in this thread, we can discuss this again in 2012 and talk about how it relates to the end of the world. -
definitely from a comedic perspective. It pokes a little fun at the stereotypical uninformed Gorites. Unless you are one of those it really shouldn't be offensive.

I am definitely NOT comparing the woman to anyone in OT and only user is allowed to say I am. -
