"Fred Smoot is speaking to the media today for two reasons. First, Fred Smoot would like to explain what really happened last week and in doing so clear Fred Smoot's name. Secondly, Fred Smoot has always been friendly to the media and feels they deserve to know the truth. Other Vikings have declined to talk about the incident, but Fred Smoot likes to talk about Fred Smoot and loves to see Fred Smoot's name in the paper.

Fred Smoot did, in fact, charter two yachts last week for the Viking's party last week. However, Fred Smoot did not invite any of the women aboard the boat. All of Fred Smoot's women have not yet moved from Washington. Fred Smoot's women are much sexier than the women on the yachts last week. Fred Smoot is lonely without his women and Fred Smoot hopes his women move before winter comes.

Because of the absence of Fred Smoot's women, Fred Smoot did not participate in any sexual activities on the yacht. Fred Smoot's teammates may have done so, but Fred Smoot is not a tattletale. The crew states that they were scared and uncomfortable and had to turn back. Fred Smoot does not know anything about this. Fred Smoot never talked to the crew on the yacht except when asking for more pigs in a blanket appetizers. The crew brought Fred Smoot more weiners and all was good for Fred Smoot.

Fred Smoot is ashamed at the actions of Fred Smoot's teammates. Fred Smoot would like to offer an apology on behalf of Fred Smoot and Fred Smoot's entire team. Fred Smoot hopes to focus on the upcoming football game and put this incident behind Fred Smoot.

Fred Smoot would also like to talk a little about football before the media leaves Fred Smoot's press conference. Fred Smoot wishes he was back in Washington. Not only are Fred Smoot's women there, but the Redskins are actually winning. As far as the game this weekend, Fred Smoot wants to intercept Brett Favre and score a touchdown so Fred Smoot can do a Fred Smoot endzone dance.
