-

-
-
thanks Tim
-
No prob. Nice vid. Makes me miss Colorado.
-
That was awesome imo.
-
wow. impressive.
-
holy shit that was badass bro! i just picked up snowboarding last month and went for my 1st two times and really enjoyed it. I'd love to be on your level some day. sickkkk vid.
-
puts my ski videos to shame for sure. I have to ask though, do you ever actually ski or just spend your whole day in the terrain park? I am a lifelong skier and have not done a single run through a terrain park. I get much more thrill of ripping through the trees trying to find the untouched powder. Seems the kids these days couldnt care less about skiing, they just want to be little gymnast acrobats on skis.

Cool video bro. Nice work. Is your helmet cam a gopro?
-
thanks, yeah being on the mountains is the best

Hey Red thanks! I actually ski a lot of time out of the terrain park but the terrain park is the only place where i find filming to come out well. If you watched to the end you could see i was dropping so okay sized cliffs too. I'm a ski instructor in Utah and can ski anything but don't find filming groomers or moguls or trees worth it. I have used the helmet cam through trees in the past but I had the camera mounted on a pole for filming in the park instead.Originally Posted by theredbaron

Yeah I understand about the gymnast acrobats comment. I'm almost 29 and I'm grandpa style in the park, most everyone skiing in there is younger than me but idgaf.
Here's a link of me skiing some pow through some trees. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_98PpzAVUk
Thanks. Yes the camera is a HD Gopro. Almost all of the shots were filmed using it but a lot of it wasn't on my helmet obviously. Those cameras are awesome and can be used for so many different things -
-
you've got skills. thanks for sharing.
-
Great video. I love how you guys made the landing area for that one jump in the trees basically.
It must be nice to have snow AND sunshine. I think the constant gray skies here in Ohio during winter make me hate it so bad that I rarely ski. -
Thanks. Yes I went to school in Cleveland and have not been back to Ohio since I graduated. Boston Mills and Brandywine weren't cutting it. (ski slopes)
Yeah, it was the most open spot we could find... I fell a few times and tumbled down close to the trees but you'd have to take that jump pretty deep and then fall to hit a tree I think. -
Pretty sweet I like those handplant 360s!! You are a much better jibber than me. I can do some big 3s but that's about it. I'm best at skiing steep lines I grew up in AK and we get a ridiculous amount of snow especially in Valdez.

I went to Colorado once and skied Breck and the Aspen Highlands. The Aspen Highlands was pretty sweet but unfortunately it was boiler conditions when I was there. -
omg man i would love to get to AK someday. Now you live in switzerland! you have and do live in some great places to ski. I miss it already and i went skiing on april 20th... and will go again.. but it's just not the same as going everyday. I've got 135 days of skiing (mostly instructing) since Thanksgiving

I got a pair of skis from a friend that lives in Switzerland but the last couple of years I've been riding the Armada JJs and absolutely loving them. I'm actually still in AK I went skiing a couple times last week but the season here is winding down fast.

If you ever make it to AK come up here in March and hit up Valdez!! You will love it.
Wow 135 days of skiing that's awesome!! I only got in 20 days this year but I will admit that I only go out when there's a bunch of fresh pow.
A young skier came up here from Colorado a couple of years ago and died on the Headwall at Alyeska during the freeskiing competition. He was super excited to be in AK the kid had so much enthusiasm it kind of broke my heart a lil bit. -
nice vid, song is A+ ... You need some of those snowlerblades for the rails brah!

Edited By: DOITDEALER Apr 25th, 2011 at 05:44 PMAHHHHh if you saw in the video the cliffs at the end i was on ARMADA TSTs and the park skis for some of the shots were ARMADA AR6s ARMADA kills it. The JJs are a bigger version of those TSTs.. Do you happen to know the name of the kid that died? I'm pretty sure one of my best friends used to live with him in Aspen if we are talking about the same person.Originally Posted by slizza420

that is a sick video, i think as far as park goes skiers > snowboarders. I think i got about 60 days this year, but i got at least 10 good powder days, which was awesome. seemed like every big storm happened to fall when i had nothing to do for work!

in my humble opinion, the aspen highlands is the best terrain in CO.
heres a little compilation of powder turns from me and some friends in colorado
-
John Nicoletta. He was 27 so it's probably the same guy. It was a total fluke accident the Headwall isn't super nasty or anything but it's pretty damn steep so if you wreck while carrying any speed you will fall for quite a ways.
-
I bet you could go a lot faster if you avoided the obstacles and spent more time going forwards than backwards, upside-down or sideways. Better luck in your next race.
-
haha i can ski fast and race a bit too but watching that on film isn't too entertaining imo...

thanks foutizzle -
Your rails are super smooth and you make it look effortless, very nice!~ Those flat spins are super sick too! I wish I'd gotten that good when I was snowboarding....props~!

Idea on your vids for future...in just a few of your clips I could hear ski on rail impact, I think you should always double cut the video sound with music, it makes it all that better (and more realistic/like you're there). I always like hearing hucks, grinds, and landings with music in the vids. Great job nonetheless man!!!
