So I know that zeppelinzoso16 has the international field on lock but what about us domestic travelers. Who among us have flown the most so far this year, where ya been, and if it was for business or pleasure. All mine have been for work, taking me to places like Denver, D.C., and Boston.

Add it all up and I've been on 12 flights so far with another 10 coming up within the next month. Starting to feel like
and yes I stereotype through security too.
Also, this place in Boston has some of the best nacho's I've ever had

This place is by far the worst rental place I've ever used

Both Denver and Boston have some real hotties at their counters

including this girl...the blonde

132,000 miles flown in the past 12 months. 117,000 of those miles on Delta. The rest were on Asian boutique airlines and also 1 flight to Orlando on Air Tran.

Some places I've been this past year include Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Germany, , Hawaii, San Diego, Dallas, Chicago, Orlando, Tampa, Denver, etc etc...
I rent with Hertz and generally stay at Hilton properties.
Heading to Dublin/London in May and to Germany again in August. -
I'm stupidly not part of a frequently flier program. Someone yell at me.

I just saw the new Casino in Singapore it looks amazing. Was it finished when you were there and were you able to go on top?

I went to the Marina Bay Sands while I was there. I have mixed feelings about both of the casinos in Singapore. Architecturally, they are amazing. But, they feel very sterile inside. There are tables upon tables of baccarat and blackjack, but almost nothing else. Also, you get herded inside depending upon your status as a tourist or resident. I think Singaporeans have to pay a $2k annual fee to be able to gamble in the casinos there.

Everything was incredibly expensive, too. Beers were like $15 each.
It was something cool to see, but there were so many other fun things to do in Singapore that I only spent about 2 hours total in the casino.
You are throwing money away, especially with all the overseas travel you're doing.Originally Posted by Rocket Surgeon

Seriously, register for the programs and try to stick with one airline for most of it. The perks are awesome and are one of the things that make travel fun for me. -
I'm not surprised at the prices. They said on Build it Bigger (awesome show ftr) that every month the project got delayed they were losing 100 million in revenue.

44,008 miles YTD. Have flown to Houston, Austin, Odessa, Lubbock, El Paso, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, Abilene, Amarillo, San Antonio and Fort Worth. It has been great to see so much of the world so early in the year.

After Thailand next month I will be at like 60k on Delta, upgraded to their 50k+ club...I already get first class upgrades when I take trips to LA...but now I get to hit the international lounges. Shippp
-
I've only flown about 15k so far this year but I have another ~3k coming up tomorrow and then another ~3k on Saturday. I'm a Continental gold elite which actually gets me a ton of upgrades and so on. I have several hundred thousand FF miles from the last few years, trying to decide what to do with them. Obviously I will use them for an int'l business flight, I'm just not sure where.

Member of the Star Alliance. Like BGX said, stick to one alliance and you'll get plenty of rewards
-
Last year I flew about 75k on United, 20k on American and another 10k on others (Southwest/Delta).
Sadly couldn't keep my Executive Platinum on American (though they gifted me Platinum) or 1K on United (only kept Premier Exec). Last year was going weekly to Memphis for about 2mos, NYC for 8mos, CT about 2mos. Vacations I hit up London/Paris (all on miles), Vegas (SW credits), China (upgraded to business), Portland, home to PA a couple times, and FL once.
Kept highest status on both Starwood and Hyatt (~75 nights each). Ended up switching mostly to Hyatt when Starwood wasn't running their promotions in NYC. For all who travel to NYC for work, the Andaz (both 5th ave and Wall Street) in NYC is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at...highly recommended it if you have the chance.
Now I'm on a local Chicago project for work and really enjoying not having to travel every week. -
i have a few flights a year at most. i suck.
-
About 45,000 nm so far this year, but I don't get FF miles for it.

I know, but if you stick to one alliance (meaning have a primary airline but ensure you fly its partners if you can't fly your own) to maximize your rewards. For example my primary carrier is Continental/Copa which is a member of the Star Alliance. Because of this I try to fly Air Canada over WestJet so I can add to my Continental mileage. So yes you're right, I have a Continental OnePass, part of the Star Alliance. -

Just go buy a house on a credit card, you'll get it instantly. American actually counts CC miles for lifetime status. I know a bunch of people who have it via that method.

Flying blows

How do you buy a house with a credit card? You can't even buy a car with a credit card.

I know some banks/mortgage companies will give you miles if you use them when financing a house, but I looked into it when we bought our current place and their interest rates weren't worth the miles.. -
about 70k in 2010. Star Alliance ftw.
-
I was kidding :) But you can get there faster with a card for sure, maybe you already do that though.

u can actually buy a car with a credit card if u have a high enough limit
-
My step dad bought a car with a credit card. My Mom and him have had 2 free trips to Hawaii using airline miles and Hilton points they get with their rewards from the card. Think 2 Alaska cruises also but I don't follow what they get. Just know I was there when he put a car on his card

I'm on delta but don't have very many miles. Travel mostly overland, and now in Asia I've been flying Air Asia when I have to fly which is dirt cheap when you book in advance (just paid 23 dollars each way from bangkok to Yangon for example)
